That was so cute! You had just the right balance of humor, romance, and adorableness. Characterization and spelling/grammar was near perfect, too. And I still can't get over how cute it was! Great job :3

...fangirling aside, I obviously loved it. You really did a wonderful job with the characters, especially Candice. I'd also like to mention the anime probably isn't the best media to look to for character references. I mean look at what happened to Jasmine. Or for a more recent example, Elesa. It's best to stick to the games and your own instinct, which you did great with.

One nit-picky thing...I'm pretty sure Maylene's Meditite is female in the game, along with her Breloom. The rest are male.

One thing is certain: The audience for this fic should not be hypothetical.

You did a really, really good job on this. You're not doing any gun-jumping by making them suddenly feel x or y for each other, and on the whole I love the way you've built their relationship. The example of Maylene not knowing why she doesn't like Candice talking to a boy is a bit of a stretch, but you have to move past platonic somehow.

Your characterizations are impeccable. Forget the anime! You have these two fitting so well together I wouldn't care if they were OOC, but they absolutely aren't. Maylene not being hungry? Well... ;)

I love the way you use language (not that the occasional simile ever hurt anyone), and I loved this story, and I look forward to reading works of yours (especially Pokémon femslash~) in the future!
