I read this story years ago,a little after I played through the entire Mass Effect trilogy and I remember thinking it was the most beautiful piece of fanfiction I had ever read. At the time I had thought, my interest in the series had influenced how I perceived the story and made me a little biased.

I am here again years later and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that this is still the most beautiful piece of fanfiction I have read since then as well. You wrote something profound and its a little frightening just how you were able to accomplish that with so few words.

From that I assumed that this story wasn't posted anywhere else. Just to make sure I checked here and on Archive of Our Own. I would have posted it giving you full credit for it of course because I think every Mass Effect fan should read this story.

I can see the quarians returning here in the aftermath of ME3.
They would see this place, kept almost as a shrine for 300 years and then break down once they see the two pictures.
