While You Tell Me Stories gets two thumbs up from me. It has great serious characterizations of Lily, Regulus, and the Mauraders, and introduces Vanessa Lovely cleverly and without making her into a Mary Sue. I liked that James and Lily had lives outside each other, Sirius was playful but not a playboy, Regulus showed in his own way that he cared, and that Peter wasn't demonized, but instead given concrete reasons for shifting loyalties. I hope to read a sequel, and look forward to more stories from you.

I really enjoy the story, apart from Lily and James' romance. I'm in love with Vanessa, and I can't help but hope that she and James would be together forever. (I'm sorry but I kinda hate Lily in this story) .Anyway, you have done a great job.

This was so wonderful. I've never read a story that really focused on how irresponsible letting a werewolf run around is and to have you write every side of the situation with such nuance was a dream for me as a reader. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the twists and turns of Lily's potions career, James' love life, and all the conflicts last chapter was awesome, especially at the fact that things were starting to go right for them. Thank you so much for writing this amazing story, all of the stories of yours that I have read have been amazing! Keep up the amazing work! :)

I really liked this story. It's very original and fresh - I had never read something like it. It sounded very believable - I loved the growing up that both Lily and James gone throught - with each other and by themselves. I really liked Vanessa as a character and loved the fact that she was in Slytherin. All in all an amazing fic - Congrats!

LJ. That's it. This couple has come so far in this story, and you, Dawnie, have been pulling strings perfectly behind it all.

I've already told you you're a wonderful writer. But this... words don't even match this. I'm going so far as to mentally place you next to J. right now, and if you're any good as a Potterhead you'll know what that means. :)
Lily was strong-willed and stubborn at the beginning. No doubt she actually was that way, in the original Harry Potter series. James was arrogant and totally played the part of the snobby rich kid, although maybe 'snobby' isn't the right word... Anyway, they were both self-centered. I don't know how you managed to transform them so completely in 28 chapters, given that you also had to work in other people, all their friends... but you did. Look at them now. They're a happy couple, all their flaws realized and treated. You've done it.

It's over, effectively, although I've still got to read the second part of the epilogue... I'm taking this opportunity to gush, AGAIN, over how brilliant this is.
You also didn't ruin it at the end! *applause* I wasn't really expecting you to, given how well you've done with this story, but the ending is always rather tough. And you pulled it off. :P That kissing scene... it was so damn natural. It's that scene in a movie right before everything's about to end, and the hero and heroine are kissing in a light rain, and there's the movie's theme song playing, and then everything fades...
