This is perfect. Though I wish they'd gotten to talk about it later. I've been searching for a fanfic about episode 10 for years.

I really like the way you compared(is it compared?) Shion to a snake (well, I understood that with the "shed his skin" thing). You're a really good writer.

There is so much emotion is this...you have amazing talent when it comes to getting the emotions across to the reader. 3 Also, it's nice to read Nezumi's POV during this scene. You wrote it perfectly. I think I want to watch this scene in the anime and fill in Nezumi's thoughts with this fanfiction. Haha.

Wow, this was tragic, yet beautiful and very in-character for them both. You evoked the same sense I get from the novels in which I wish Nezumi would just give Shion the benefit of the doubt and open up to him some more. (lol at myself!)

It's difficult for me to describe how heartbreaking that scene in the anime was to me, even though I had an inkling it would be coming, thanks to a spoilerish comment I'd seen. I think you captured the tragic feel, with a bit of hope to it, very nicely. I also appreciate the sense of Nezumi's silent and subdued, yet very real affection for Shion, alongside Shion's determination not to lose Nezumi no matter what. Of the several takes on this scene out there, I think this must be my favourite.

This invokes such emotion in the reader, putting them right in the middle of the action as if this was our life, falling apart before our very eyes. Which is something I'm sure almost everyone has experienced, a moment where everything you thought you knew is suddenly turned on it's head and your left scrambling trying to pick up all the pieces, but we can't go back. You made that painfully crystal clear with this. We must somehow move forward even with everything going on, making it seem impossible, we have to!

So this was just wonder and ICC all around, kudos to for pulling it off! Please continue writing, you have no idea of how much you are needed in the fandom!

And now a few more: This was intense. Very intense, and beautiful and really, REALLY well-written. I've always loved fanfiction that are built around the main plot of the original work. You did a great job portraying Nezumi and I just loved his internal dialogue since he's so very enigmatic in the anime/manga. Thank you for writing this!

Holy hell.

I got so excited upon seeing that you wrote a new No. 6 fanfic, and then I got even more excited seeing that it was set in Episode 10, because this moment was SO pivotal for both Nezumi and Shion. You've done it such beautiful justice and I'm literally blown away.

There were so many lines that stood out to me in this piece, so I'll try not to spam you with repeating too many of them, but god...there were points in this story that I actually had to reread because they were just so POWERFUL.

"...when it's this close, all he can think of is how much he wants to survive."

"Nezumi has built his entire world around protecting Shion, around keeping him safe and pure even though Nezumi knows that no one can stay pure here."

And then that entire section about how Nezumi wants to taste Shion's skin and lap it up and...oh my god, I got chills, I swear. There's something so animalistic about that, so base and raw; one of my favorite facets of Nezumi's character is that he comes off as such an animal sometimes, and not in the wild, untamed sense, but in the sense that he carries this haunting, carnal air to him. That section was so dark and yet strangely innocent. And then that little moment where he touches the water droplets at the back of Shion's neck...god, my heart. I can't even articulate, I'm sorry. xD

In short, this was beautiful. Keem 'em coming, love.
