seriously the way you describe hijikata fits him so well and chances are he probably did thought of a whole bunch of 'what if's' like anyone would. i mean at the end she never got to learn that he loved her and he never go to say it to her so it's only natural. seriously this is one good fic and i can't wait for you to write more fics, especially gintama.
