Reviews for Wand Lore
Guest chapter 1 . 6/29/2019
Genius! Amazing story! I always thought the core and wood of Severus's wand was never mentioned in the books because no one truely knew him "except Dumbledore" and the idea of linking Albus and Severus by it, is brilliant. Thank you very much

Cool
katmeers chapter 1 . 8/21/2015
Why would Dumbledore deny the wand? Because the wand was meant to end Dumbledore's life by Snape's hand, obviously. This is in reply to another comment.

Quite a brilliant short here.
Guest chapter 1 . 1/21/2015
I experience a certain discomfort in having Snape labelled as "Dumbledore's most loyal follower" ...

He is nobody's servant.
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 9/14/2013
It looks like a wand can hold grudges for being rejected, too. That's certainly a possibility.
duj chapter 1 . 10/23/2012
Interesting premise, but does a wand keep loyal to one who denies it? I suppose it depends on the reason for the denial.
Librasmile chapter 1 . 8/25/2012
Absolutely fascinating, just fascinating. I really wish you had gone into the story a bit more, given us more of a hint of WHY Dumbledore would deny the wand.

And forgive me for...truly...being a bit impertinent for saying so but you might like my story For the Price of My Familiar. It also centers on a Dumbledore-Severus relationship and a phoenix ( if not the actual wand ).

But you don't have to read it. I just was struck by the similar themes in your story. And I'm really enjoying going through your stories and reading. I like your style and your insight.
MuggleCreator chapter 1 . 4/10/2012
Wow. Nice work.
CC chapter 1 . 10/9/2011
Thank you for sharing this story. I have to agree that Albus and Severus will go down in history and Severus would be known for being Albus' most loyal follower.

Hello SS19,

I found your name searching SS/AD story because I love them as father and son. I love very much the character of Severus Snape. This little story is wonderfully written.

It's an intesting point of view seing the link via the wands between Albus and Severus and through Ollivander's eyes as well.

Thanks very much for this. I would like to translate this OS in french and I would like to know if you give me your go ahead ?

Simply beautiful. And in reply to a bit you wrote at the top of an chapter...I read it earlier...anyway...what would us lovers of Albus and Severus do if you did have a life:). Thanks for writing!
blossoming art chapter 1 . 9/13/2011
Very different, once again. And such an interesting concept to go from Ollivander's perspective. I really liked how you explained the wand lore through him, it made it a much more compelling story. And of course, I do enjoy that Severus' wand is so in tune with him, and he with it. It suits him perfectly. Thanks for sharing!
sammyfish chapter 1 . 9/12/2011
Fascinating. And oh-so-clever. :)
Chocobo-14 chapter 1 . 9/11/2011
That was an interesting insight from Ollivander. Not often we hear from him. He always seemed to know a lot more than he let on.
