Muhahahahha. This was FANTASTIC. Your vocabulary is extraordinary, and I love the James Bondsey feeling this gives off. I was pretty confused at first, (I actually had to look up and check that this WAS indeed a Portal story.) but it turned out very intriguing in the end.

At first I was like Chell...Caroline? CHELL. xD It was pretty hilarious.

This Gray fellow is quite interesting. I've been having a hard time deciding on whether or not he's some derivation of a character we already know, or an OC of yours... Like Colin makes me think of The Companion Cube, but you can never really be sure. Of course it IS 4a.m. so...xD

Anyway this is so different and ORIGINAL! I love how I haven't seen any ideas like this yet. I can't wait to see where this goes..

I love the way you wrote the interactions between these two. I always adore writing GLaDOS as a sort of sensitive character when you get right down to the wire. She shows ingame that she is very sensitive, she just lashes out when she gets her feelings hurt rather than acting like a normal person. It makes sense too considering she is very developmentally stunted, in that her intelligence really doesn't match up with her relatively low maturity. She's just as childish as you'd expect an AI to be. After all, her life has been relatively short.

And I think you did her character great justice here, not enough people write that side of her. A lot of people, especially in Wheatley-centered fics, just write her off as pure evil, and explain away her intricacies by saying it's the 'Caroline' in her or that it was because she 'used to be human' (yet another reason why that interpretation irks me). I think her sensitivity is part of her progress toward being more human. Rather than 'reverting' to a human form, she's growing toward it for the first time.

Anyway. Ranting here. I just mean I really like her subtle hints of being more human here. And you're absolutely right, the fact that she cares about her facility is definitely evidence that she is capable of caring about something other than herself. And I think that applies to Chell too, because she really does care about her in an odd sort of way.

Interesting story so far. I love the idea of Chell coming to rescue GLaDOS. It's such a fun idea. And all these unanswered questions are leading up to a very engaging story, like what Cycnus (she realized that sounds like 'sickness.' Ha. Clever.) is, who's helping her, how they got GLaDOS. All in all, this should be fun.

Yeah.. uhm.. just continue.

Intriguing. And heartbreaking. I can't stand GLaDOS being captive. But I do love how you swapped it so that Chell can speak and GLaDOS can't.

I'm hooked! You provide just enough information to set the tone of the story but there's still so many questions. And I really like the reversal of Chell and GLaDOS' speaking roles. Her earlier exasperation at being unable to talk was amusing. I'd love to see where things go from here, keep it up!
