Wow, this was just..angsty to the extreme. Still, as always, it was brilliant! I especially loved the part where you said he -sat- in front of the alcohol versus drinking it. A lot of control, you really hit the mark with Nico.

Oh this is so sad for poor Nico who seems to be lost right now. Please continue.

Ooo, another addition to this series. I am totally loving it. And this was very therapeutic to read after... that episode. :P

Nico is suitably torn here. I think he should be. You portrayed it well. I am glad you are giving him the benefit of the doubt here and making as if he does want to move on from Gabrielle. I wasn't entirely sure what he wanted to do by the end of that ep, myself. Although he did try to convince her that they had the lives they wanted, etc... *shrugs*

Anyway, this was a nice addition to your other piece. I liked how awkward it all really felt. Nico was clearly in distress and Dani wanted to fix him. He wouldn't let her, but I think, at least, the concern was appreciated by the end, even if he can't look at her at one point. (Which told me one of the reasons he ain't talking specifics is b/c he doesn't want to lose Dani's good opinion. But I might be reading too much?)

Also:"Would you stop reading so much into her behavior? She's not the woman in question." lol So... I guess he noticed Dani was doing that. I mean, he's Nico, so of course he did. Wasn't expecting her to be called out on it, though. Made me chuckle a bit. Nice, brief respite from the serious/awkward angst vibe. :)

Interesting diagnosis of Nico feeling a need to control things, Dr. Dani. Spot on, I'd say. Also, she showed some brilliant deduction when she realized it might be Mrs. Pittman he was talking about. Nico may know too much, but I think Dani managed to keep that revelation to herself, it seemed. So good on her. lol

Looking forward to anymore of these. If I can make a suggestion, though? I think these pieces should all be in one fic, as chapters; along the same vein as a drabble collection or a short story anthology.

I don't know what I feel about Nico. Sad, unsure and a whole lot more.

Keep up the great work on these stories.

This was a very good read. Nico being a bit angsty was a surprise but it worked for this fic.
