quelpascquelreg chapter 1 . 4/25
Whether in this dark or canon world poor kid's bad luck is constant variable of his life :D
Btw I was expecting a case from Spinner's end thinking that it's an AU though surprised from comments stating how it made all sense, probably published when James bashing was a thing but definitely nicely written(however horrific it may be).
gginsc chapter 1 . 8/12/2019
Poor Harry.
Olly chapter 1 . 4/20/2019
Unfortunately with what we know of the two, it's plausible. The real question is how many join Voldemort because they have lost a child, a cousin, an aunt, an uncle or even a friend to Sirius Black and James Potter ?
The idiots always think that by using this kind of violence they can "help" but for every person you will scare away with your gruesome methods you will also create one ready to take his or her revenge on you.
Charlie0925 chapter 1 . 7/30/2018

The Wild West Pyro chapter 1 . 10/19/2017
There's war crimes in Muggle wars, and then there's wizarding war crimes.

Interesting dark take.
Corwyn chapter 1 . 5/4/2017

SuperVegitoFAN chapter 1 . 4/9/2016
Dark chuckle.

that aint murder. No its vigilantism. Hardcore vigilantism sure but nonetheless.

Considering the death eaters where worse than the nazis and the fact im certain several ppl would do that to nazis its not as harsh as it seems.
Nobody Smurf chapter 1 . 12/4/2015
'Never' is a long time, but he certainly wasn't by the end.
Keylars chapter 1 . 7/22/2015
I read this a while ago, and I honestly thought and think this would be plausible. James and Sirius never seemed like great and kind people. Did great things for the right side of the war? Yes. Good? No. Also, waiting a few months for the DNA to be identified was great. Most idiots would put it for the next day instead of something even slightly accurate. Good job.
Guest chapter 1 . 5/17/2015
Fighting fire with fire.
You go after the muggleborns/muggles we go after the people who support you, be it wives, children, yourself or extended family. War isn't fair and now it's entirely indiscriminate but at least some people thought twice about joining voldemort, maybe. They left a calling card, a distasteful one but a calling card nonetheless. Countering scare tactics with scare tactics would have escalated the conflict but they were losing anyway. As Voldemort had almost won turning the tactics that gave him the win on him would maybe turn the tide...

I can see the reasoning and honestly, it is sound.
GabrielaC chapter 1 . 3/10/2015
Wow, great story! I've never come across this premise before. I felt the reveal was very well done.
kat chapter 1 . 12/3/2014

Cassandra30 chapter 1 . 11/20/2014
Wow!
OokamiJudge chapter 1 . 6/15/2014
Oooh I hadn't read that one before and that was eerily chilling and telling. If he could get away with nearly killing Snape what else could he get away with? What else would he think it was 'ok' to do. A look at just how dark and twisted Sirius and James could easily have been. Thank you.
