I hope Derek is fucked up by Spirit...he deserves it. But I also think Derek's actions should be known to the entire freaking school. Then everyone can beat him up. I can just imagine an army of all the women he's tried to take advantage of...that'd be completely spectacular.

Really good stuff here. I thought the first chapter was the strongest, but I thoroughly enjoyed everyone rallying around Maka (I'm also probably biased because I just adored the Soul and Maka interaction.) The characters were spot-on and I thought Maka's reaction to the entire situation was really well done throughout the entire story.

:3 i love this story. I'm quite a fan of those hurt/comfort moments. Even if some get cheesey. And no yours does not. Relax :P that last bit with Spirit was hilarious. You know now that I think about it, with their names, Spirit looks more likely to be Soul's father and Maka looks more like she belongs in the Evans family. TIME FOR A SWAP! AU idea! Unless you wrote it already.

Way too many words in a chapter...this made me loose interest...well kinda,I just skimmed the chapters.
All I know is that Maka was sexually assaulted and then that Derek guy gets beat up or whatever.

I'm so sorry I was too lazy to review last chapter...*droops* BUT IM HERE NOW! I think you really have captured Maka's blend of stubberness and whiny-ness. (Gosh, I love Maka to death, but sometimes...ugh...) I really like the plot of this story, and found it highly probable and amusing. I've never seen "Chicago", but I have The Cell Block Tango on my iPod, and immediately started listening to it.

I did like this story quite a bit, but the last chapter bothered me a bit in that none of Maka's friends respected her wishes of keeping the affair quiet and contained. It even seemed like, they were more concerned about Soul being angry with them for not letting him have a piece of Derek, rather than Maka's wish to keep the affair quiet. Being sexually assaulted is a really serious issue and can be very traumatic, so her wish to keep it quiet is really understandable. I guess it just bothered me a bit that her wish wasn't really respected, when she was the one who had to deal with the consequences and the shame that often come with being a survivor. Blackstar's line was the most problematic for me, because he didn't seem to take her feelings into account at all when he mentioned telling the story to the whole school. No one I know who's been through that would ever appreciate others being told about their experiences without their permission. Overall I loved the story though, it was very well written and I loved how you kept them basically IC for the whole story. It was definitely one of the better Soul/Maka stories I've read.
