Good fic, great idea having the Merry Men having a beach day!

I wouldn't worry about Helen, she knows that the infant is Lisa and Steph is baby sitting while the older kids have chicken pox. She wouldn't have a cow over being called, she would explain it is Lisa. Sheesh, it isn't like people were not used to seeing Steph and would know she didn't spend the last 9 months pregnant - she was active every day locally, shopping in Giovanicchis, getting food at Pinos and such.

Us Americans are odd, many of us do the shoes off thing, and many of us leave them on. It is getting so that more of us take them off as the era of the stay at home wife that has all the time in the world to clean has pretty much ended. There has been a dawning realization that if you take your shoes off, there is less need to clean the floors ) Our household, everybody takes shoes off in the house [but we live on a small farm with very sandy soil and geese, so you have to take your shoes off or the worst crud tracks in!]

And I do agree, canon would probably have people leave shoes on, though I can remember a number of times when Steph comes home covered in crud and takes her filthy runners off at the front door. Me? I hate wearing shoes and have always taken them off inside, and I have very rarely worn shoes with any sort of high heel unless forced like when in a wedding party or crap like that )

Some people prefer short, some people prefer more in their chapters. Write until you have finished what you want to say, 10 words or 10 000 words. [Well unless it is for a specific challenge like 100 word drabbles or something ) ] It is your creation and it just needs to satisfy you.

Not sure about George Clooney but I could go for Vin Diesel ) I am not into the real 'pretty boys', I like a bit of muscle [but not all gnarly like Arnold Schwartzenegger]

Well, I would imagine Joe would have known she didn't just spend the last 9 months *pregnant*, so it was not her kid. I would make the guess that it was someone elses kid and she was baby sitting. Then a simple conversation would confirm it was her niece. It really isn't rocket science )

I like the concept and can't wait to read more.
