Brenda Joyeux chapter 8 . 3/17/2019 I like this. It remind me of those Agatha Christie's serie show. You know Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple. I was so fan of those shows. |
blackpine chapter 22 . 1/27/2017 Hello IShouldBeOverThis or also should beover, I read on the German translation of 'The Man No One Liked'. I can not make many words because I do not speak English. However, your story requires a statement. I was completely captivated by this gripping story, its complex scope of action and its extraordinary depth. The relationships of all the acting persons have been developed very convincingly. In addition, the atmosphere of the aftermath of the Victorian era is very well understood and integrated, but it also forms the basis for the described initial situation. Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle could not have written better ;), really! So thanks! You are really an exceptionally good author and I liked reading the story very much. Now there are still your sequels to TMNOL. I'll try to read it with the Google translator. Grim, It's a case of Hobson's choice. Many greetings, blackpine I hope you understood me. |
auden.hope chapter 22 . 4/27/2016 This was honestly fantastic! I read it all over the course of one day (despite having to sleep and work!) because I could not put it down for a second! Excellent story, a good mystery, and well developed characters - I can't wait to read more of your stories from this universe! |
EasternGale chapter 22 . 3/14/2015 That was excellent! You really took me back in time and everything felt so authentic! I could see everything perfectly and the mystery, oh the mystery, it was so complex! Truly intriguing! You succeeded in convincing me it wasn't Sir Neville up until it was clearly revealed and I even thought it was Lord Lestrade for a moment! The descriptions and conversations were flawless and I'm excited to read more of your writings! |
bethanyyerinn chapter 2 . 3/21/2014 I like the Mazouq backstory. It was really sweet. And the Sherlock one with Peter was sad, but well crafted. Sherlock is strangely nice in this fic though. Sort of OOC, but at the same time refreshing. |
bethanyyerinn chapter 1 . 3/20/2014 I quite like this so far. Though I don't like that all the page breaks don't show up on FF! I'm reading it on AO3 because it has the page breaks, but I like commenting better on FF, so here I am with both sites open at once (I'm rather silly sometimes). Anywho, I like this universe thus far and I am quite excited to continue reading. |
LeahMaeLaugh chapter 22 . 2/28/2014 This was like the perfect Sherlock/downton abbey crossover lol enjoyed it muchly :) |
Illulian chapter 22 . 2/11/2014 Brilliant! |
daemonkieran chapter 22 . 9/11/2013 A good period drama with class differences. Awesome. |
Harriverse chapter 22 . 8/20/2013 This was an incredibly interesting story. You had a smart John who reflected the intelligence of his age. Not that our current Watson is dumb, but what a difference. Then you had a Sherlock with an inferiority complex. He reflected his social class and its imposed limits quite well. The fact that he was so appreciative of everything John was willingly doing for him showed the contrast with the usual Sherlock Holmes characters. Then there was the whole John worshiping Sherlock bit. At that time, having a partner who was committed and willing to live that lifestyle would have been a godsend. Or at least that is what I'm led to believe. The only bit I had a problem with is that John Watson WOULD have at least had a housekeeper. Even with a Char woman and the pleasures of modern plumbing, food preparation alone would have demanded a large part of his time. Then there were the everyday maintenance issues and he would have had to have someone to help with his household so he could practice as a doctor. Plus his station meant some degree of servants. Maybe there were some but the focus was so much on Sherlock and John as it just didn't matter. Still, I really enjoyed the relationship between your two main characters very much. |
Chris chapter 22 . 7/23/2013 Awesome story! |
Guest chapter 22 . 6/25/2013 Excellent work! |
seditionary chapter 22 . 6/16/2013 This story is a stunning achievement. I felt as if I were reading Conan Doyle's actual work. The characters, the plot, the sex, the dialogue, everything was a delight. I will read it again at a more leisurely pace to savor it! Thank you so much for sharing this. |
spinner12 chapter 22 . 2/13/2013 You did a wonderful job on this story. The mystery gave it a nicely convoluted plot. |
