Xinette chapter 5 . 11/12/2019 Things I like about this story: 1. It’s funny 2. Surprisingly works well with the times 3. Ambiguous to what degree America believes what he’s saying about Russia vs. how much he’s just trying to keep Germany on his side 4. Everybody acts according to the info they know 5. Both Prussia and Germany misunderstanding each other and coming up with ~theories~ 6. Italy and France being like “just talk to him” 7. Idk just Germany being protective ... is ... good |
Guest chapter 1 . 11/13/2016 Your writing flows very well! |

damtoti chapter 3 . 6/20/2014 Germany is so awkward at dealing with this I don't know whether to cry or laugh. I feel so bad that he's going through each day thinking the worst has happened to his brother, but he's just so terrible with subtlety. That scene where he offhandedly mentioned "it's never the victim's fault..." then gave Prussia a pointed look just made me want to facepalm. But I agree there's no proper way to go about asking such a dark question, and I can't wait until Prussia finally knows what he's so worried about so they can both be happy :3 Oh no, the way Germany spoke to Russia made me feel terrible. I really like the way you wrote the soft side of his personality, the almost shy manner with which he asked to speak to Prussia. And crap, now I want to cry for Prussia. Germany's plan seemed really intricate at first, but once it was clear the speech Prussia was going to give was no big deal, I felt so sorry he got his hopes up. And when he came in and found all his things hidden and misinterpreted it as Germany not wanting him :/ I really, really want to get to the part where they talk things through and everything turns fluffy. |
damtoti chapter 2 . 6/20/2014 I don't know why I didn't bother to read this story until now. Every time I run out of things to read, I go back and check through my favorite writers' profiles, haha. For some reason I saw this summary and expected it to be something short, but it turned out to be the opposite. Regardless, I can't even explain how much I love the details in this story. Such as Prussia's citizens misunderstanding and mimicking him when he shouted "Hi West!" on top of the wall, or all those details about bananas. I don't know if there's any historical significance to that, but somehow I just found that hilarious. When he mentioned them in his phone call earlier, I thought it was just a random request. “I think your brother wants to talk to you,” he said. “So, he's my brother again. Last time you told me he had abandoned me. Make up your mind.” I love the way Prussia brushes off Russia's douchiness with humor. I'm pretty sure Russia does get to him at times, but he seems too full of life to be truly brought down by Russia's words. “Tell them you were distracted by your naked brother. I'm sure they'll understand.” “That's not funny.” “Okay, so take me to the next meeting. When they see me, then they'll understand!” I love that part way too much. |
Jay Rowan chapter 5 . 4/14/2014 YES. Big thumbs up for the ending! I've always thought that Russia and Germany would be good friends, despite all that has happened historically between them. They're both considered "intimidating" nations, even if they are the cutest of cuties. I couldn't help but feel a bit sad when Germany kicked Russia out, 'cause I knew it wasn't earned. Also, DAMN THIS DRAMATIC IRONY, you have no idea how easily I get second-hand embarrassment. And when Germany was being a wuss about it or when he finally confronted Prussia, I just wanted to turn my head away. A big "yay" for brotherly bonding, I just love those, especially when Germany is the one that has been driven to tears and needs comfort. Thank you so much for sharing this awesome piece of awesomeness, you awesome author! Please, rock on ;) |
Miggs chapter 5 . 2/12/2013 One of the best brofics I've read. |
Master of the Hellish Yard chapter 5 . 1/8/2013 Dear VampireNaomi: This was very well done. I quite like your take on Russia. It shows well the child within that they try to show in the series. I see him as such most often, but with my own sadistic nature I have issues writing it. XD Germany and Prussia... both so headstrong. Aye, if they had simply spoken, things would have been much simpler, but we all know that wouldn't have happen. You did a very good job of displaying each of them. Germany's thought process, response, and actions are all very IC, and in turn the same for Prussia. I quite like this little scene of Russia and Germany at the end. Though different from most of the story, it's quite a nice little touch. This story was very well done. A different take written quite nicely. Sincerely, Master of the Hellish Yard |
Pookey chapter 5 . 12/14/2012 This whole story felt very canon to me, and that is a feat. I'm also glad you had Germany and Russia make up. I love your stories! |
Guest chapter 5 . 7/16/2012 It's rare you see good stories where Russia isn't the bad guy. Thank you so much for how accurate you wrote everyone. They were all so in character it felt so real. I very much enjoyed this story, and will be adding it to my favourites. This is the second FanFiction I've read by you, and the second one I've enjoyed so much I have trouble writing a review. I don't usually favourite authors, but I think you are an exception. I look foreword to reading more of your stories. |
Fandals chapter 5 . 3/6/2012 Oh, Russia. Poor thing. |
Midday Lady chapter 5 . 2/27/2012 Wow…haven’t read a story this good in way too long. It was great! |
Eryres chapter 5 . 12/14/2011 Hello, this was wonderful to read! (: I like the way you write, I'd say it's refreshing with a light touch of humour. Everyone's in character, and I appreciate the part with Russia in the epilogue. Great story! |
