What the Praxian elite did to Prowl and the others before him was terrible, and it's interesting that even one with Jazz's morals was disgusted by it. I found the interaction with Prime well written, and I like how Prime and the others became much more trusting once they knew why Jazz was so protective. The interaction between Prowl, Jazz and (minorly Suresweep) was wonderful.

Really enjoyed this! I'd seen the first two chapters on LJ, but didn't realize it had been finished. Great job building up tension throughout the story - especially the scene with Ratchet disarming the various booby-traps that Prowl had been implanted with.

And I loved the contrast between the direct innocence of Prowl and the wary hesitancy of Jazz. Prowl knows what (okay, WHO) he wants, and isn't going to be dissuaded. Jazz's caution and protectiveness are just lovely - he might be a criminal, but he puts Prowl's long-term happiness above his own.

Anyway, VERY entertaining story and thanks for putting it up!

Wow. It took a while for me to read all of this but I really liked it. I was shocked at how the Praxians treated Prowl (and the others before him). It was very telling of the internal decay of their society. Horray for Jazz for changing for the one he loved. (Can't deny what is felt in the spark.)

Interesting pre-war story about this couple. Although it isn't crucial to the story, I was wondering if the eventual destruction of Praxus was somehow a result of the attrocities which took place here.

Firstly, the length. It always sticks out to me when a one-shot is the same length as a decent multi-chapter. I assume this is a convention from LJ or something. Anyway, the length doesn't really affect my feelings for a fic. I just notice it first.

The only thing I would have hoped to see was more of Jazz coaxing Prowl out of his shell in the first half, rather than it jumping straight from being assigned to hiding him in the apartment. I know that their interactions are hinted at in later parts, but it felt like a significant amount of character development and interaction was lost by not showing it.

At "Chapter 5: 'Bout C-5", you have Jazz refer to C-5 as "Prowl", even though he isn't aware of that name yet. Also there's a strange "." in "Chapter 15: Breaking in, Breaking out" following the line '"I'll be as quick about this as I can, but you are not leaving this room until I'm sure they can't deactivate you at a distance," Ratchet said firmly as he directed Prowl to lay on his back on the berth'.

Nit picking aside, this was a pretty good fic. I love seeing the relationship between this couple develop, and this was a very interesting way of showing it.

A stunning piece of work that was cute, sexy AND had a great plot! At first I wasn't sure about it, I dunno, just something about the summary didn't do it for me, but I kept coming back to it.

I'll have to admit, I teared up there for a bit, not that I would complain. Brilliant story, while it was definitely sad, I'm glade Prowl got to a better place.

Wow, that was truly intense. This story was so mind blowing and just a completely original take on how Prowl and Jazz got together. Fantastic.

I really felt horrified that the Praxian higher ups would do that to a mech. It's horrifying.

I'm glad Jazz saved the day. I enjoyed how they got together and how Prowl was so adamant that he was Jazz's even though Jazz was reluctant.
