| isabel380 chapter 20 . 3/6/2018 Love this story, however you do need a Beta to check spelling, grammar, and help you with British slang/terms. Here's a bit to help you in the future - An apartment is called a flat. Cookies are biscuits. Food, especially in reference to a prepared meal, is nosh. A stove/range is a cooker. The stove/cooktop is called the hob. (A stove usually is in reference to some free-standing cooking unit, like a bunsun burner or grill.) Gasoline is petrol. The trunk of a car is the boot. Pants usually (not always, but usually) mean underwear. What we know as pants are called tousers, the more formal slacks, or jeans. Pajama pants are pajama bottoms. And I think pajamas is spelled pyjamas there. I'll have to check. In general, women's underwear is called knickers and men's underwear is called underwear. Not trying to be critical at all, just trying to help. Adding this to my favorites. It's REALLY good. |
