It's really sad... But I don't get the ending part Is Kagome dating Hojo? Why did Kagome shake her head?
Is Kagome telling Hiei to not lover herself? I'm sorry but I don't get that part.

Stupid Hiei, if he doesnt know what Kagomes worth is then he doesnt deserve her. If he prefers Mukuro then he shouldnt have returned and expected that Kagome is still faithfully waiting for him when he clearly said what he thinks of her. She deserves happyness and if a human can give it to her why not. Everyone makes Hojo a wimp but he is the only one who was never negative to her, he always honestly showed her his emotions and while he is naive his affections are sincere as he only sees Kagome and doesnt expect anything from her.

Kagome was a bit too emotional for my tastes. I mean she did survive the three years without Inuyasha just fine, only the fanfiction writers write her with a severe depression which she did not fall into. She is astonishingly resilient when it counts. I wish you wrote how she moved on and Hiei sees that its too late a bit more obviously. Its almost every time the female who is left and has to suffer, Id like to see it the other way.

I remember a fic (AU) were Kagome left Inuyasha for Kouga just before they married and was suprised how the readers reacted. They did not leave a good hair of Kagome, calling her every name they knew. She should go through hell before he could forgive her but with the same concept when Inuyasha left Kagome, the readers begged the author that Kagome should forgive him and take him back because he apologized. How strange. Our own concepts about female equality is still not right, we females are more lenient to males than females when they make mistakes and many girls are not even aware of that. Sorry, Im rambling again. :)

I totally liked your story, in general I love all stories of Hiei/Kags, I liked your plot and how you wrote hiei character, but I think kags was a little weak in this story. Great work!
