Revisiting this fic again, one thing I believe is missing would be Shinji visiting Asuka to see how she's been doing since returning to Tokyo-3. I could envision her still being haunted by her experience in the Queen's Blade world (the actions she's committed and the toxic relationship with Elina) and Shinji doing his best to comfort her.

Damn those NTR feels, but I'm surprisingly not upset with it. I think that's because there was no NTR follow through and this approach to accepting a harem is actually better than what I usually see in fanfics where the girl is okay with it because she's bisexual or the protagonist just has all that selfless love to give or is just deserving because they had a shit past. Reasoning like that honestly rendered harem stories unreadable to me. There should be conflict and/or consequences. So seeing it here was really refreshing.

You should make a sequel to this story. I would suggest a crossover between this story and the overlord anime. If you do that then, with your writing skill, you would be fantastic. Even if you don't I look forward to your future work.

This was an exceptional piece; there were some decisions you made that I had issue with but you handled it all very nicely.

There was one loose end that really bothered me, though; what happened to Airi? She said she owed Shinji for bringing her back but after the end of the Queen's Blade arc she just disappeared.

Ah, well - like I said, this was a really good read and one I will definitely reread at a later date.

Again, I am confused - what you wrote in-story as compared to your closing author's note is in conflict; in-story you have Elina being sent away for a week (in Tokyo-3 time, which I suppose is the year you reference in the A/N in Gainos' time) but in the note you say that Elina (and Asuka) will be in Tokyo-3 a year.

Which is it? A year in Tokyo-3 would be like, what, more than ten in Gainos?

In any case, that punishment for Elina feels extremely light. Permanent exile with sporadic (and monitored) visitation from her siblings would be more fair (because, c'mon, as if Shinji would have her executed [he's a bleeding heart/doormat and that's the {evil} sister of two of his wives]).

Oh well, that confusion and complaint aside, I've really enjoyed this story - you have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into it.

Wait, why are the Shai-Fang sisters surprised Shinji is the king? At their last meeting they said something along the lines of "So this is the king?".

To throw my belated two cents on Asuka:

I don't hate her but I don't think too highly of her.

Yes, she's had a tragic past but that doesn't excuse her attitude in canon or her behavior; her raison d'etre is trying to be the best in order to prove herself as not being unworthy to her already dead mother but she just comes off as a self-important, snobbish bully.

It doesn't help my opinion of her for her to be so willingly vile and side with Elina in this story so if something horrible happens to her because of her choices, I won't exactly be torn up over it.

Shinji was viciously and continuously raped and Asuka thinks he has it too easy? That he hasn't suffered enough? And making friends with a repulsive wretch like Elina despite knowing what she's done?

No, just no. I have no sympathy for Asuka - I doubt she'll lose in the oncoming clash of her vs. Shinji (because he's a stingless jellyfish and she's an unrelenting berserker) but I really hope she shares in what Elina's comeuppance...

At least, I hope you make Elina pay - she's gotten off scot-free for all her trickery and vileness up till now.
