Your right it's an excellent place to end it! They do need to talk and there, distanced from the whole mess of what h

has happened would be a good place to clear the air and really communicate again.

Talk about missing by moments! just how long could they do that for! Cruel and heartless punishment for us that is Booth doesn't decide to head home while she's mourning him on th island...comedy of errors comes to mind.

How is Brennan suppose to have faith in his loyalty and devotion if he keeps giving up and/or running off at the first sign of hesitation?

Brennan is actually much more honest to herself and her partners in her relationships if you think about it. Booth is a selfish Jerk.
