This is by far one of the he best sonic fics and that may not be saying much due to the fact that they are rarely ever any good ones but this is real good even my my standards . of course maybe the terminology is not quite there as in the tittle but see very little wrong with this fic. So glad to catch up to the most recent chapter and notice it's been updated just last month!

Granted, I had a VERY difficult time following your story through the first five or so chapters. It was not at all friendly to a reader coming in fresh to your project, as I was bombarded with confusing jargon, mostly unfamiliar characters, and an unknown socio-political environment. It can literally pass for an original "Sonic world" in its own right, especially given the depth and effort you've put into the storyline, character interactions, culture, and world-building, to the extent the canon characters lucky enough to have spotlight here have strongly deviated from known portrayals.

I don't know what egged me to go on when by all rights I ought to have discarded the story. Was it Quinn? Was it Sonic, Fi, or another character in the lead role? Was it the inimitability of this world you conceived, with all this structure about the Tribes, the Code, Speedsters, the Rainbow, and all that? Or was it the little things coalescing together? I can't pinpoint this exactly, but I'm glad I stayed the course and kept reading. The storyline is unpredictable and if you can think of a way to make your fic more "approachable", you're likely to get more visitors (feedback is a different matter; I'll have you know I have that very problem).

It took me a while to get into, but I'm glad I kept up with it.

With the later chapters, you do a much better job at setting the scene. I felt a little lost during the first quarter of the story, not only due to the unfamiliar locations and characters, but also because I found it difficult to imagine everything from the bits of information you slipped in between the dialogue.

Anyway, I really like reading AU-Sonic, especially if there's been put such an amount of thought into it, and I hope you don't get discouraged after all those chapters now (seeing how little reviews you've received so far)!

IMHO it needed at least that much of an introduction. There's REALLY good characterization and dialogue in this story but the plot is sometimes convoluted (I know a lot of this is probably because youre in the habit of deliberately withholding info from the reader, but still...)

Hi.

I'm cheating a little bit, here, and shoehorning a brief introduction into the beginning of the story (ie: the 'first' chapter is no longer 'Runner at Rest'). It doesn't add any information that hasn't already been covered in the other 17 chapters to date, but it keeps the story from beginning completely 'in medias res', which was a problem for some people.

You've gone and put your sixteenth chapter into the seventeenth's slot.

OMG! This story is such a waste of time, the chapters are too long This has nothing to do with Sonic, he wasn't even in this! No one cares about these stupid OCs!

This is, quite frankly, the best Sonic fanfic I've read for quite some time. Great spelling, great story, and really immersive. Keep up the good work.
