The Ombra are doing a bad thing so a worse thing doesn’t happen. The result, on the one hand, is that the children are happy. On thee other hand, they never grow up and get that sort of happiness. The Tarot Girl is still a mystery, but she seems to have good news for interesting. I’m sorry Andy is having this experience. But, he is growing more competent and I think his future is going to be bright with or without T3. I’m sorry Tosh couldn’t be saved from the necklace.

No, this isn’t - doesn’t appear to be - a T3 case, but I’m glad they could help. Maybe Hedlu w/think better of T3 seeing them affected by these deaths in this way.

I am still puzzled that the team didn’t understand there was no way to change Jasmine’s fate. I’d have made them stay and puzzle out how it could be handled next time. With all they’d been told it was crazy to expect an different outcome.

Still reading; still having a great time with this. I like the new, slower build between Ianto and Jack. They’ll be closer if they ever decide t get together. Owen is being a twat, but I think he’d be happy for Ianto and Jack to get together. I hope Jack starts working on a fix for the 456 soon.

This is a more honorable death for Suzie. Thank you for that. So far the superior skills of the new team members isn’t appreciably improving cannon alien/Rift-like encounters. Gwen is still sounding and acting like a civilian, but the team generally seems more cohesive. Poor Suzie, literally living on borrowed time.

Wow! Theses changes are amazing. It’s interesting to see how Gwen keeps trying to insert herself and elevate her position within the organization. All of the other newbies being hired are so much more qualified than she is that I wonder why she isn’t spending more time in self improvement, like martial arts, computer hacking, or investigations skills. She’s no better at following orders so I wonder how she’s managed to stay hired so far. Matthew will be interesting to get to know. He seems to be another wise guy, but he at least has skills. Great story!

I guess Jack is starting to second guess hiring Gwen. So much happened in this chapter and I want to comment on it all! Suffice it to say, however, Gwen is still Gwen and there is no way sampling changing his own behavior will change her basic character. She was always insubordinate and he needs to nip that in the bud.

I don’t see how, but Jack obviously did not see Gwen’s argumentative nature as a handicapp. We’ll see if the second time plays out similarly.

So... Gwen flirts without provocation? Jack can now stop blaming himself for her one rest in him. Making the offer of a job to both Gwen and Andy is a way better move than just to Gwen alone. Things are looking up for Torchwood!

I’m not sure its isn’t hurtful to keep telling the Doctor he used to be better looking. Ten was rude to Jack so I wouldn’t mind it if his feelings were hurt. Eleven was nicer so that bit bothers me. That said, I hope Jack is going to ignore all the advice to keep things the same, especially as regards TYTNW. Let’s not bring back the Master, Doc!

How long do they keep the bodies? Everyone knows they have to freeze them for a while but what about autopsies? Most government law enforcement agencies have a mandatory autopsy thing even when they know how their agent died (according to shows I've watched) if said agent died during work hours or foul play is suspected. When Suzie came back to life I don't think she had been autopsied but I don't remember much except my fav episodes which didn't include her since I only started watching it after she was dead and only vaguely remember the chairwoman episode.
