Aww are you serious? I like just reviewed this and it's not showing up waaaaa. Then again I forgot to put my name in the guest spot so... Yeah just know in case the other one doesn't show up that it was really heartfelt and like amazing and stuff, from one hopeful cynic that identifies with another.

(My review does have spoilers just an fyi) Oh wow. This Was quite the pleasure to read and in more than one way. But in all seriousness, this was a truly delightful story. I know a lot of people say this,especially about the main character, but I really do identify with England, or rather Arthur. Particularly the Arthur of this story. He keeps suggesting words that Alfred says aren't appropriate like desolate, isolated, and things of the like. Then he finally says blank. At first I was skeptical but as it was explained I grew hopeful and joyous. Probably Because I like to paint so much it touched me deep inside. I have a friend who is making a zine and she asked me for a quote about the world. I told her something along these lines: "The world is going to hell. It's full of destruction and chaos". Those weren't my exact words but that was more or less the meaning of my message. I watched my friend ask a few more people and realized she was trying to make a zine to inspire people, not to create dispair. I told her I wanted to add more to my quote and the addition went something like this: "But we have the chance to change it. Each of us in our own way has a chance to change the world, whether that be for good or bad is your choice". I've never known what to call myself (a realist, cynic, optimist) but now, because of this fic I think I know. A hopeful cynic. It really has a ring to it Ya know? Thank you again so much for this wonderful slice of skeptical hope and please, keep writing.

Ermygherd, just read chapter 6, thank you so much! One thing:*spoilers* did they have sex with Alfred keeping his glasses on the entire time? I've never had glasses or sex with someone while they wear glasses but really this seems like it would be quite inconvenient; like they would fall and get crushed or go all wonky. And yes, I know Alfred does have glasses in this fic, but I have to, and will, admit that for seeing him as a character, visual wise, glasses aren't there until they're mentioned. Then it's like "oh yeah. Forgot about those". I do hope Alfred considers the amazingness (albeit itchiness from what I've heard) of contacts. wow, I truly wonder if I will ever get to the day when I write a review less than four sentences. Hasta mañana le chica!

I just got done with chapter five and I honestly love this already! *spoilers XD* but like damn you matty I wanted some smut, even if it's just grinding! I was like nooooooooooo!... But possible (most likely inevitable though it's something to look forward to rather than something to dread I think) smut aside you have good character development. I especially loved the part during and after they watched Saw. I kept laughing super loud while trying so hard to stay quiet. The part where Arthur thought he was lying was just breaking my heart. You know during horror movies when you're just like "no don't go in there!"? Yeah well I do that when my lovely shipping pairs get into a fight, argument, whatever you wanna call it, over a miscommunication and I know both sides. It's like "no he's not cheating on you with these people, he's planning something romantic for you with these people" or in this case "no he's not cheating/ lying to you, he's lying to the press to gain money and fame while unbeknownstedly following a plan to set you two up!" Yeah it's like I have a solution to all of this. Just start making out and taking off your clothes. You will be stress free in a matter of minutes... Unless you're a virgin... Haha and you think you ramble on forever? Yeah okay imma go continue reading but so far so good!

As a British citizen who grew up with wonders such a Big Cook Little Cook and Brum it's strange to me that you find them peculiar. Big Cook Little Cook was a favourite, and I remember running about the house "riding" on a wooden spoon. Good times.

Basil Brush was, is and always shall be the bain of my existence and my hatred for him runs to my very core. Boom boom. -_-

I'm not sure if they air Big Cook Little Cook anymore this is probably why I find CBeebies to be of much lower quality now. Big Cook Little Cook was good, damnit.

Anyway, moving on from children's TV I've really enjoyed this fic so far. The insight into each character is fantastic, the wording and descriptions romantic and beautiful. The story itself both amusing and heartwarming. I'm pleased to see Arthur return to Britain, despite whatever past he has their, and see them visit places I know of (if not directly, since I'm Scottish and have never actually been to London). Alfred's antics are forever amusing though I do feel sorry for Arthur and the rise in cholesterol they probably cause.

Basically what I'm trying to say is you're very talented and this fic is as engaging as it os well written (very).

P.S I'm very taken with hipster Matthew and his many outfits.

Also, this review makes me sound do posh. I promise that's not the case.

Just one thing: Alfred Hitchcock was English. (I don't know if you had that ironically, or something, but just in case.)

Holy shit balls this chapter was so amazingly beautiful, the fluff and romantics were perfect and didn't feel the least bit corny! One of the best love consummations I've ever read. Honestly. And the sexytimes bit was everything that a sexytimes bit should ever be, it was emotional and romantic and gahhhhhhhh (especially for someone who prefers that kind of sex scene over the super explicit, robotic type)

Nice story

This was so very thought out and well-written, that I'm actually still in a state of awe right now, sitting here. I loved the word-play and the underlying themes of the state of a post-modern America. I think you presented a very well-thought opinion regarding the potential future of our country, and it did make me think. And of course, I swooned all over the place thanks to Alfred and Arthur's romance. Especially given how wonderfully you wrote Alfred, all-American and representative of what America ought to be. And the supporting cast, Francis, Elizaveta, Gilbert, Antonio, augh, I can go on forever. This was just a great read, I loved it.

I have to say that I rarely ever review stories, but I couldn't resist praising this one. I love how serious it can be, and then shift perfectly into comedy. I was honestly laughing out loud at the 'lol' part. You add so many little details and quips between the two, and it brings your characters to life. And the way you portray them... it's exactly how I imagine them to be. Not to mention the storyline so far(Which makes me ecstatic that there are so many more chapters, by the way!) which is just adorable. And to top it all off, your Author notes are hilarious! I love reading about how you perceive the characters, and I love seeing the real you. It's different than the way you write, which means to me that you can do so much with your stories. Thank you for sharing your work with us!
