No pairing... But I like the changes. I hate reading the "Reid is helpless" stories so this one should be fun.

A pity this is not to be finished but that is your perogative and I respect that. A good story and an interesting premis.

I'm really sad this hasn't been updated in a while. Badass/Surprising Reid stories are my favorite! Anyway, this story is great!

I enjoyed the first 3 chapters immensely and love the Reid that you created here. Loved the mention of Charlie Eppes' geographical profiling work. Loved that there was someone Spencer couldn't fool and, because of your Numb3rs reference, I'm picturing Ian Edgerton taking time off from hunting and running that course at Quantico (since that's how he met Don Eppes). And who else is going to call Reid on that crap and then turn around and help him fake it better? Chapter 4 was harder to follow than I think it was meant to be. Maybe if you had put in both sides of the phone call? I think you could have done that and still kept the mystery of who's on the other line. *shrug* Just a thought in case you ever revise it.

Really wish you had done more with this. Maybe your displeasure with chapter 4 is why you lost the muse for this fic? On the off-chance that you'll pick it up again, someday, I'm going to mark it for alerts and keep my fingers crossed.

Oh! You mentioned in an Author's Note that you were open to pairing ideas... How do you feel about rare pairings? Hmm... although with Reid you would almost have to make this a crossover since there is no one I haven't seen him with already. Rossi and Hotch are tied as my favorites for Spencer... but you really caught my eye by setting him up with Sean Hotchner. I agree that he should NOT be paired with Gideon... Eww, indeed! And I can't see him with Morgan for the same reason I don't see DiNozzo and McGee together on NCIS. The earlier seasons had too much teasing that felt more like a bully just barely remembering to pull his punch and no respect for the young geek passed what his brain could provide to make the job easier. Definitely fits both Criminal Minds and NCIS. Hmm... there's a crossover pairing idea! How about Reid/McGee?

And this is why I don't write a lot of reviews. I tend to ramble. Sorry about that!

Anyway, as stated above, I really hope you decide to pick this on up and dust if off one of these days!

Please continue this sorry I REALLY LIKE IT but I am not willing to read Slash, unless its canon, so could you please make it like a Reid/Prentiss or Reid/Seaver? I have no problem against gayness, there is just no evidence that any of the team members are gay so that's why I'm against Slash in Criminal Minds.
