You have no idea how much I adored your story! I only meant to read 1 or 2 chapters, but I devoured all of it and went to sleep waaay too late because of it. Your narrative voice is exquisite, and I love the way you characterized Sephiroth throughout. I gotta admit, even I flinched at the end of chapter 6, but at the same time it fit so well with Sephiroth's character growth so far. I know you're probably never going to update this, since no new post has been made in years, but it's such a shame! This truly is one of my favorite stories in this site.

I'm sorry for the most selfish reasons that life took you away from this fic. It's sensual and supernatural and addicting in the best ways. If you should ever come back to it I'd be happy to see it. If it's not to be, thank you for sharing this part of it. Even unfinished it's been a good read, and inspiring.

You can always be relied upon to create something atmospheric and unique. This club scene is such a dark wonderland, even without the hint of the line from Lewis Carroll. I like that undercurrent of something sinister in Sephiroth's background, something that he's trying his best to avoid thinking about, that Aeris can sense regardless. The loss of control from the alcohol, Seph's inebriated honesty make it all real in the midst of delving into something strange.

re-reading this again. that's how good this fic is! I never failed to laugh at that Sephiroth moment with (what I think) is Zack of this universe. Brilliant!

You're an exceptional writer and I hope you're still out there writing. And that you'll one day come by bearing the gift of a new chapter :)

I really liked this fic, it seemed real if not a bit gritty. Very interesting anyway in terms of both characterisation and world.

I don't think I've ever read one where Aeris is the more experienced one! It's always assumed Sephiroth had and took advantage of whatever was at his disposal. I'm liking this :3

Even though there wasn't much Aeriseph action, the chapter was great! Very interesting to get some perspective from Sephiroth and the ending made me really eager to read more; can't wait for the next update!

Im currently placed at a psychiatric care unit on my intern ship, and I have to say, Sephiroth shows up character traits similar to some of the patients...

Really hope he is wise enough to follow Genesis' advice so he doesn't 'snap'...

And poor Aeris, I wonder if she really know what she has gotten herself into, lets hope Cloud is wrong about Sephiroth breaking her, although its seems obvious to me that their relationship will be anything but a dance on roses, so to say :P

I applaud how you've depicted Sephiroth's mental illness thus far-as the complex result of his total upbringing; not just the horrors of war. I appreciate your apparent understanding, whether through canon or research, that his mental condition is much less of not being able to "move on", and more of an issue of a severely unstable and/ or warped self-concept; characteristic of Complex PTSD.

It really seems like you've done your homework, resulting in a very believable, accurate Sephiroth characterization.

Hooray for updates! And absolutely no need to apologize, this was a really interesting chapter. It's chilling and awesome to get inside the head of your Sephiroth for awhile and see where something like what happened to him in the game is happening here now (with opposite head-moms?). I love how in your AU, the characters are still so true to the originals, so watching this all unfold in a similar but twisted context, by your expert hand, is a lot of fun.
