The only way without being around the wolves was if a wolf was intrinsically bound to her, in the deepest way possible. An imprint, a soul bond. I love that he let her go. That he allowed her to be herself and to come back to him. Edward wouldn’t have. Jake wouldn’t have. She needed Paul as much as he needed her. |

| FFAddict chapter 1 . 1/12/2017 Definitely interesting, I like that you don't paint imprinting as a magical way fot a happily ever after although the plot was a bit controversial. *Spoiler alert* Paul wanted her to make her own decision but she didn't have all the knowledge to really make it. She thought that Paul couldn't be more than a temporary f* buddy since he could imprint at any time and honestly it would've been somewhat stupid to set herself into another disappointment after Edward. Sure, people don't have guarantees in relationships but after all the pain she's been through I doubt she would be willing to take the risk. She didn't even know that he loved her till she read the letter and honestly the Cullens could just as well decide to not give it to her. It was a leap of faith for Paul to trust the Cullens like that. In my opinion the chances for them to have their HEA when Paul acted like that were nearly non existent. I agree that imprinted or not they should be able to make their own choices and to build the relationship instead of jumping into it but withholding vital information doesn't improve chances for the right choices to be made. Also I think I'll pass on Paul's point of view. He set himself for a lot of pain in your story and I'm not into angst. |
