I really like this story - not only do I find Dido songs really emotional - this chapter really gets the kind of "trapped/stuck" feeling that I've had down. :)

I like the beginning of this (Or better said all three chapters as beginning of the real story). The added space and detail spent on the developments between Ron and Hermione in contrast to GIIN is showing up nicely. A pity it did end at this early a point without coming back to Harry and his own misery, i definitely would like to see this quality and eye for details invested into the further development of the GIIN storyline, after all as it is now the story doesn't really fit it's description header.
Hope that one day your muse will come back to Dido and have a little sing-in to inspire you. Complete this would be a hell of a story!

I am sorry if I don't like the way you are portraying Hermione. True she has insecurities like Harry because of her upbringing, but to have her go wild and have sex with just anyone because she left Ron is just wrong.

Tch! Ron, Ron, Ron, you stupid oaf; you should've listened to what Mr. Kipling said about the female of the species (then again, you've probably never read such a celebrated non-magical writer). Hermione gets a long-overdue wake-up call and Ron gets, and will continue to get, his just desserts. 'Twill be rather interesting to see how you expand this further and tie it into GIIN; methinks it's going to be quite a trip for both Harry and Hermione and quite a pleasurable and wild one when they finally do come together.

::whistles:: Damn, that's quite the hard blow for Hermione here, but she's rather earned it. 'Twill be interesting to see more of her background and what lead her to the choices she made.

I'm enjoying the story so far, but I do feel that the last line about Hermione being a 'lion on the prowl' is extremely OOC. While I can se her moving on immediately (as she was already aware of how bad it was and already questioning why she was still with Ron), I don't think that she would just immediately go out and try to pick up men at a bar (or anywhere else), she would be smart enough to know that it isn't such a great idea.
