God, sometimes I really hate Elena so much. Great story so far, I love it!

This was amazing. I was beginning to worry that I had exhausted all of the really good TVD fics because it's been a few months now since I've read one that was properly excellent, but this one has reassured me that there is still brilliance that I haven't found.

My two favorite things about this story were the prose, which was elegant and beautifully deep at times, and the characterizations. While Damon would seem the trickier of the two, I've actually seen a lot of people portra him quite perfectly, so I was far more impressed by how you chose to write Elena. For the first time, her indecision wasn't something I simply tolerated while I waited for her to finally choose Damon — I actually understood and sympathized with her struggle. You did an incredible job of showing just how difficult things really were for her, and why she took so long to understand how she felt. I have so much respect for you simply because of that.

I adored this story. Thank you for reviving my hope in the extent of this fandom.

Oh my gosh I just finished reading this and I just HAVE to comment- which I usually don't like to do. This story is so wonderful, so moving, so real, so heartbreaking and riveting and addicting. I think it's one of my new favorites! And you're now definitely in my top three favorite authors. I'm such a Delena lover, and the stupid writers on the show have done nothing but disappoint me ever since season 5! So I've come back to fanfiction to get my fix of GOOD storytelling.
