BluewindFarm chapter 1 . 5/9/2019 OMG! Eyes Bulging! I can truly see these events happening between Cap and Mike; oh if only we had witnessed the 'foamy wax' during one of the episodes. TOTALLY PRICELESS! As for the third sentence from the end, it can be taken two different ways. It's a perfect wish; both ways. |
Ginger713 chapter 1 . 5/31/2018 Sweet story! I really enjoyed Mike's point of view! Thanks! :) |
Madilayn chapter 1 . 4/4/2018 Oh gods - HOW have I not read this before? You know I love a good Cap and Hank story. AND as a tag from one of my favourite rescues (Ok - yeah I belong to the "I love you so I will beat you up" fic writers. Sue me.) I was laughing so much with Cap baiting Mike and then in tears at Mike's anguish. I watched this episode recently - and spent about an hour going over and re-over this rescue (OK - I was doing it for a fic. That's my excuse.) and Roy moved fast, but Mike moved even faster - he was further away but was there helping Roy almost before Roy had a grip on Cap to move him. And then yeah - that absolutely useless gesture of Mike's of tugging Cap's turnout coat lapel. It's so obvious through the seasons that Cap and Mike have become best friends - and that Capo has seen completely through Mike's "silent" facade. Great work - I love this so very much. |
MoonWind Dancer chapter 1 . 10/2/2017 I absolutely adore this piece! What better way to express the deep affection that Mike has for Cap? When the show first aired, I fervently prayed for more scenes with Mike, more background, ANYTHING! Well, you gave me that here. Thanks |
Jennaya chapter 1 . 5/10/2016 Wow this is absolutely hilarious! Love the friendship between the two men and the way Cap marks them so fate can't touch his men. The wax foam was to die for! |
katbybee chapter 1 . 5/2/2016 Completely AWESOME! This is such a great character sketch; and I can see how well it totally works for the kind of men Stoker and Cap are! Thanks! Hugs! |
pandorablueskies chapter 1 . 1/18/2015 LOL! You did a terrific job bringing Mike and Cap to life-I especially enjoyed the descriptions of the sly humorous comments that Cap makes, knowing full well Mike can't laugh out loud or respond. But the axe? priceless. Thanks! |
McFly chapter 1 . 1/6/2015 Hilarious! Sounds like you've had a sampling of Mike Norell's dry humor and transfered it to his character, the Cap! ;). I can SO hear him doing this both in real life while filming, trying to get Stoker to cause a blooper, and as Cap trying to do the same! ;). Randy Mantooth once said in an interview that Mike had the dryest sense of humor, and having been one of the fortunate fans who exchanged many emails with him 'back in the day', I have to concur! That man is hysterical! Great job! ;) |
Ryn chapter 1 . 7/15/2014 Wow! Are you talented! This story is superb and gives us more insight to the characters of Captain Stanley and Mike. The story just flows and makes senses we know capt. Stanley has a sense of humor but to suggest he use it to crack up his stoic engineer is just too funny! great job. |
FlaFan chapter 1 . 2/12/2014 Just terrific. We never did get to see much of the Cap-and-Mike relationship on the show, but this isn't hard to picture. :) |
Lisquirt chapter 1 . 8/4/2013 Omg! I laughed hysterical at "sensitive to... Chimneys" great story (as usual) Lisa |
Var Devonshire chapter 1 . 7/7/2013 "industrial-grade foamy wax" Brilliant! I was laughing so hard it brought tears to my eye. OMG Just too funny! Var |
Emom chapter 1 . 5/3/2013 This was great. So how I picture Mike too. Loved it. |
Enut5109127 chapter 1 . 2/11/2013 Loved the story. You described Stoker to a T, I think. Keep up the good work. |
Li'l Albatross chapter 1 . 12/31/2012 Loved this. Thanks for sharing this with us. |
