Dee474 chapter 16 . 4/10/2018 fantastic story |
fighttowin1 chapter 16 . 8/25/2011 Nicely done! I really enjoyed reading this story~for some reason the system has given me issues today with trying to post reviews..it kept erroring out..so I apologize that there weren't more reviews for individual chapters, but since the last 2 went through, I'm going to try again. ;-0 Nicely written! Oh..and I loved the epilogue, the entire thing..it was the perfect ending! Thank you for the excellent story. ;-) |
fighttowin1 chapter 9 . 8/25/2011 Loved the restroom scene with April...Enough women were around that April decided to indulge in a touch of mischief...that whole scene was delightful to read. ;-) |
fighttowin1 chapter 8 . 8/25/2011 I just found this story...and I must say...that I am enjoying it! It is well written, well thought out...and the banter between the agents is perfect. ;-) Mark having to stay clear of Illyana is kind of funny. In this chapter this is the part that stuck out the most to me as my favorite scene... ~Looking to the dance floor, he flashed a slightly boyish grin and looked back to his partner. "Why don't we try to build up an appetite before ordering? Are you game, Yana?" There was a look of genuine surprise followed by a laugh. "I cannot recall anyone ever implying my appetite was insufficient before. Yes, I am game. I take it you will insist on leading?" There was no visible hesitation, but Napoleon could definately feel the unseen tension as he helped Illyana back up that confirmed his earlier impression. Very insightful, and thoughtfully written...I especially liked the 'slightly boyish grin' line... Thank you for the story, I'm looking forward to continuing my reading. ;-) We are however taking a break from clearing out a downed tree in our back yard...so I'm not sure how much time I'll have..but I wanted to send a quick note of thanks and to let you know how much I'm enjoying the story~ |
pablow chapter 15 . 8/14/2011 Bravo. Well done indeed. I'm personally very glad you didn't resort to pseudo-scientific explanation for what occurred but have left it open. The show's a fantasy for heaven's sake! We've seen earthquake making machines, power cubes, controllable bats, this serum, that serum - why not a machine that could alter sexual appearance? (the transgendered of the world would probably thank the creator of one) Where is it written that a villain can't be an actual visionary? I'm not looking for necessarily believable plots when I read UNCLE. I looking for the by-play between characters; and you have captured the cadence of the them. Good on you! |
rec1 chapter 15 . 8/14/2011 Have to express my disappointment in the resolution of this story. I just doesn't make sense, method acting? And if Illya was 'acting' then why did he just not stop after he was free of the doctor? Your writhing is good and I want to emphasize that, but this story was not well thought out and could have been executed with the reader in mind. You have a lot of subtleties going on that are perhaps clear to you, but not to us the readers. Really feeling dissatisfied with your ending, sorry not meant as an insult. |
MissK54 chapter 15 . 8/14/2011 OK I can go with the "Method" concept only as far as Illya goes but what or why would he simply go along with this? Once he was out of the doctor's clutches why maintain the ruse? I enjoyed the story but I must say that the need for an explanation remains. |
Cilcanice chapter 15 . 8/14/2011 Alexander Pope said," Blessed is he who expect nothing for he shall never be disappointed" I was foolish enough to expect something here. Sorry method acting? Possibly the most dissatisfying answer to give readers who have plodded throughout fifteen chapters waiting for an explanation. The "it was only a dream" scenario would have been better and that is the cheapest of copouts... Sorry to be so negative on this one but will at least repeat your writing style is still good... |
ripon chapter 14 . 8/13/2011 From your final phrase it is to be assumed that Illya had a physically female body before although this was never said exactly! Confused! How can he be physically changed back and forth? But if this rather major aspect of the story is ignored, I have enjoyed this story and like your writing don't end by making it all a dream! |
Cilcanice chapter 13 . 8/13/2011 Incongruity and confusion are two different things, though the premise is quite intriguing; the journey has been well written technically but convoluted, filled with vagaries. Some modicum of explanation as to Illya's condition would have been a reasonable carrot to offer the reader, but as of 13 chapters you have not even given us that little tidbit. The reference to the Greek oracle who was forced by the gods to live as a woman for seven years, still offered no glimpse as to 'how" this happened to him. And the doctor asking if he prefers being a man or a woman has now introduced a new confusion as to why this was even done to him in the first place. You have an ultimate destination I'm sure, but the journey you are taking us on to get there has become less and less satisfying. |
pablow chapter 12 . 8/12/2011 I have to say I have been enjoying your story very much. I don't care if the premise seems incongruous - you are carrying it through very well. Kudos to you, kiddpo - don't let anyone tell you otherwise. |
jkkitty1 chapter 11 . 8/12/2011 Again, fantastic chapter, the thought of Illya using his charms to get what he wants is funny, laughed thought this chapter. Keep it up. |
MissK54 chapter 1 . 8/12/2011 As much as I am enjoying this story, I too, wish that you would be more forthcoming with some revelations. It is obvious that some kind of mind control is going on as Illya was not missing long enough for any kind of physical transformation to have occurred, much less time for any healing. While I am perfectly willing to suspend belief I think we have reached the point for some real answers. I do, however, love your writing and you have captured the characters personalities perfectly. I love the insight Illya is getting into Napoleon's charm and power over women. |
rec1 chapter 1 . 8/11/2011 Caught up on reading this finally, and am a little confused about Illya? Was he surgically altered, does he have "women's" parts now, or is he a hermaphrodite? He was altered so much so that he's barely recognizable to the people that know him. The hypnosis thing doesn't make sense, he's using self-hypnosis to convince himself he's a woman? But if he was physically altered then why would he need to convince himself? I'm feeling a bit lost on this one? I hope an explanation is forthcoming? |
MLaw chapter 10 . 8/10/2011 confusion is setting in regarding Illya's physical appearance and am getting annoyed now. |
