Your pace is still spot on and most plot points are present and well thought out. A few too many time slips here and there but otherwise a fine job. keep up the good work!

I've only gotten to read the first few chapters, but I enjoy this story. Your writing style is very consistent and mostly easy to read, although sometimes I think you go into almost too much detail. You keep the characters consistent, and have a pretty good balance between their thoughts/feelings and their words/actions. You have almost no grammar or spelling mistakes that I can see.

This really reads more like a novel than a fanfic in lots of ways.

Unfortunatly, that may be why you don't have that many reviews, and I'm going to guess probably not a ton of readers, either. Although there are indeed fanfic readers out there who love stories like this, it's actually probably too mature a writing style for many fanfic readers. I've noticed that although there are like 20 different genres you can use for a story, it seems that in many catagories at least half of the stories, up to an astonishing 75% in some catagories, are romances. Although that it not as true in the NGE catagory or many other mecha catagories, those fanfics seem to catagorically also have fewer readers. Because if I had to guess I would say that probably half the people on this site are teenaged girls, and they want thier romances.

I'm sorry that I can't really say more than that, but from a technical writing standpoint your story is awesome, way above most of the fics on this site. The only way I could really think of for you to get more readers would be to find a site that has more stories like this, and offhand I don't know of any.

Chapter 7 is easily the strongest chapter in the story so far, although it does start somewhat underwhelming - there is such a thing as too much in medias res. The part with Shinji and Kongo was very well done, and gives both characters depth. Funny seeing Shinji make an honest to God banzai charge. Finally, the last scene does raise some interesting questions - should this be an attempt of remnant Nazis and/or Japanese Nationalists to ursurp power, or is SEELE manipulating them for their own gains? I am definitely looking forward to read more of this.

Also, the WH40k shout outs should not be overdone.

what your story needs is a wildcard, to topple all the houses of cards...

a fanfic called "samper sic morituri" has one in the form of a racoon calld jeff, add him - its the salt your soup lacks.

Cool, story is progressing at a good rate and you've begun to settle in to what points to include and what to exclude. The pre nuclear affected Japan sentiment is quite interesting to have included as it marked a very serious divergence of thought between pre war and post war Japan. keep up the good work.

maybe have misato try to inspire confidence and thinking into shinji by "seduction"- building a libido and "rewarding the hero"...

im yet to read a well written misato shinji romance that doesnt end badly- maybe you should try fixing it?- and justify m rating?

another issue- in some eva fics the pilots, "absorb" something from the angels, becoming more like them and less human- like in the fic children of an elder god, or" sic simper morituri"- both great fics.

maybe add such twist to here? as a surprise to everybody?

Looks like a pretty good start. I love and and all Misato/Shinji-centric stories so if this turns anything at all into that I will most definitely keep reading.
