Just to add to my last post (Yes, it's me, I just missed the 01 from the name) I'm glad to find a Garak fanfic that's not slash. I'm not trying to be offensive or homophobic or anything, but WHY! Julian's cute, and Elim's awesome, but to bunch them together like that is just weird. Rant over. Don't murder me. :)
Damn you, now I'm missing Ziyal all over again. I see myself in her, and it hurt to see her die. I could have killed Damar a million times over for that (Although he definitely redeemed himself later on).

Brilliant. I nearly cried reading this. It's so sweet, and perfect. If I never read another fic again I'd be happy I read this. I was sad when she died, and I always thought we could have seen more of her and Elim (Whom I have a secret crush on). This fanfic explains so many things. I have played Ziyal in some private conventions and such, and I never thought I'd find someone who could explain her so beautifully. It describes her girlish humor, and her sweet personality. A million kudos to you.

The way in which you've studied Ziyal and more importantly Garak's character is masterful (e.g noticing how he laughs in the middle of a sentence when he's anxious and trying to hide it).
I particularly loved your metaphor about Garak's shields, which I think was a clever point due to his claustrophobia which would mean if he did keep them up too long, he'd be terrified.
This was a joy to read and I am about to click on your user-name to look at more of your work.

Very nice! I like the Ziyal revealed in this letter, her good heart and gentle wit in spite of the pain that she experienced in her short life. It's good to see her not defined by her tragedy but by her strengths as a person.

Oh really, that's sooo sweet! I always liked Ziyal and this is a great shri'tal for her. It suits her very well and i think you really get the point in her Love for Garak. Very touching and good performed!

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Again, reading this I wish they never killed Ziyal off. I would have loved to see where she goes in the show. Would have she stayed on DS9, would she have followed Garak to Cardassia. A character, a life in that whole 'verse, who died too soon.

Great story, I enjoyed reading it.
