Aw, I liked that. Love how you captured the dynamic of exactly how Dean and Sam tend to take care of each other.

great story! It was so sweet and yet kind of sad.

I read this a while back and meant to say my thank at such a heartfelt and poignant reminder that despite everything the boys were and would always be brothers despite everything flung their way. Luckily I found it again today and the same emotional response still rings true for me. Thanks so much for giving me the Winchester brothers I love so much.

Aww yay Sammy for making Dean feel better! This is a great fic, I really enjoyed reading it and I like the brotherly interaction - and Dean's ability to forgive Sam. Nicely done!

Really nicely written! Very moving, and very true to the characters. You have a great way with dialogue, too; it sounds natural, and like I imagine it would on the show itself.

I wish this episode would have gone like this with the boys talking and Dean helping Sammy through his detox. I still can't rewatch this episode cause my heart just broke for Sam. He tried so hard to stay away from the demon blood. He told Dean the truth about the fact he was going through withdrawls. The whole falling off the wagon wasn't Sam's fault. I mean even Castiel who's a freakin angel couldn't resist his addiction which was red meat. I had wished so hard that Dean woulkd have gone into the panic room and talked to Sam after he was finished with the withdrawls. Instead he locked him in the panic room and listened to his little brother's begging. I wish Dean would have told Sam that he wasn't ashamed of him but he didn't. I'm just glad that that whole period in their lives is over. Not that the leviathans are any better. They're really not. I hate those damn things.

Very insightful story. I was glued from the first sentence. You have a way of understanding each brother that I find very intriguing. Thanks so much.

I loved how Dean cared for Sam so selflessly. I also felt really sorry for Sam, because he blamed himself for the relapse when it wasn't his fault. A lovely reflection of the relationship between the brothers. Thanks for sharing.

My thoughts on Famine and Dean were kinda more.. Self-flagellating. :D Like Famine DID affect Dean, just not as visibly. It increased his need to hate himself, to blame and hate Sam - Dean came back from Hell more prone to anger and blame, a lot less understanding or calm or loving than he used to be, and Famine fanned the flames of that.

But this was more awesome - and sweet. :D

I love the way Sam just stated a fact, that Dean has always been the big brother to Sammy.

That was really sweet. Loved seeing a caring Dean, not angry and striking out in

frustration but just willing to be there for Sammy.

And I agree with Sam's assessment about Dean not being empty.

Now just have to get Dean to believe it.
