I don't know why people would think it's wrong. I thought it was fabulous! :)

I have to say, not one of my favorites of yours... I know it certainly happens, but it doesn't mean i have to enjoy reading about it. I'm not by any means condemning the story though. I just think the attraction could have started by them comforting one another and then grown after the games and she got older... just my opinion.

My fave was the "it's all water" line. Sweet perfection.

I didn't see Gale moving on, not seriously anyway. I saw him putting career first, too broken after Prim's death without Katniss' forgiveness. In my eyes, he threw his all into work. he probably had a few romps here and there, but nothing of merit... Not that he deserved that, but I imagined he destined himself to that because he thought that's all he deserved.

Now, you have me guessing... is this rated T as in "tempting"? "tasty"? "thought-provoking"?

Id go with all of the above, but lets start from the end:

Thought-provoking, because you seem to make your character analysis plausible, whatever you choose do with them. I admit I wouldnt consider the pairing unless Prim was at least 15 (maybe its just my nonexistent highschool social life talking, but I honestly cannot imagine it actually happening, nothing after the point Gale fell off the couch to get away) - but you made me think about it. Maybe it would have worked equally well if they just cuddled and comforted each other - I can see that happening myself - maybe Im just being naive and your version actually is more plausible - whatever the answer is, your writing makes me think and thats as mark of skill.

Hm,and just a side note: and I guess that the AN was supposed to mean that if 13y/o girls turn out pregnant, it means that 13 y/olds can and do have sex, not that Prim was actually pregnant, am I right?

Also, tasty - even though this time, Id apply the adjective to the style, not the pairing. I love the touching little details you add to flesh out the story - like the lashes turning to triangles.

And tempting, because - well I can never resist anything you write, L;)

and, I love the idea about Annie - if everything went according to canon, I can actually see it happening.

I loved the line about Gale killing his own heart with the bomb - Id say this is perfectly true even in the canon version

What I like - Prim's line about "you don't notice me" and his response about how Katniss had never seen him, his line about "she will shoot me if she knows. Not kidding at all." And I do love the idea of Annie and Gale. I think you're right. He would have been hurting, but he wouldn't have been Mr. Lonely his whole life.

What I don't like - the idea that he was helpless and "mad with desire" and slept with Prim without any real choice. No - he had a choice and, virgin or not, 13 is too young. I didn't ever see Prim's pregnancy (referred to in your AN) in the story.

What I don't understand - the paragraph about "They never came back." That seemed to make it clear that Katniss died in the Games. I understand (and like) the line about Katniss's body returning but Katniss never does.

And I think you're right that Katniss was pretty self-centered. She would never have seen what Prim's death did to Gale.
