Yay for another quick update, but as I have come to expect your annual ones, you now suggesting there could be a wait for the next is all good! Lol. I must admit that I have found the last two chapters a wee bit disjointed...fantastic, with so much in them, which is probably why they seem harder to read, you obviously have some fantastic ideas where you are taking this...I am so pleased,but, your usual flow, again probably due to how much and in the multiple ways you are trying to express these ideas seems little "off" for me.
So I think I will go back and read the last several chapters again and see if this improves, not that it really matters, this story is still really good, but it might be something you are interested to hear and if you should agree you could look at at some stage if you wish to.
Please do not take this as a negative..it is certainly not meant as such, it is meant as constructive, and just my opinion Thanks so much for this fantastic story.

I guess this Sookie is as hypocritical at most Sookie characters. Always angry & bitching at Eric for not telling her ‘everything’ but she’s just fine not telling him that fairies (who could be a danger to her, to Eric, & to their relationship) and now she’ll ‘lie by omission’ by not telling him she heard his thoughts.

This Sookie’s ‘flouncing’ refusals to do anything Eric asks of or tells her and this all knowing God complex she’s got going is really getting to me. Much more in this direction & she’ll be too good for Eric. Maybe she could ‘upgrade’ to a superior vampire & bond with the self-righteous Esme instead since Eric is such a ridiculous dolt according to all the females in his life & apparently especially to Sookie.

Hm. I just figured out what was bugging me so much when writing my comments for Ch 22. It has been feeling increasingly like the females surrounding Eric are turning him from an alpha lion in his prime into a toothless, clawless, flabby house cat. He grunts & occasionally growls but they all just laugh, ignore him, & do what they want with no regard for him at all. P.U.S.S.Y.W.H.I.P.P.E.D Eric is not a good look for him. Eric as a metrosexual Samson after Pam Delilahed him by cutting & coloring his hair keeps running through my mind.

Sorry, but I do not like this Esme. I thought it sounded like she had an agenda to cause problems between Eric & Sookie from the very first phone call she had with Eric & that still seems true. Sookie has turned bitchy enough of late. She didn’t need any help to make things even more difficult with Eric, but Esme seems to have flipped on the bitch amplification. Ugh. I’m not fan of women being beaten & raped even in fiction, but I’m so sick of this Sookie after the past few chapters that I might have to actually work hard to care when Gabe comes back to attack her ‘cuz I’m really, really feeling like staking her right now myself.

I’m not enjoying the persistent antagonistic tone between Sookie & Eric the past few chapters. It seems like the only time they’re getting along anymore is during sex. Add this annoying Esme to the mix and I feel like I want to scream from all the tension & animosity. Geeze, Eric is on edge enough with worries about Godric. Why do all the females in his life feel compelled to aggravate him on top of an already miserable & tense situation? It was nice when it seemed like E&S were getting a start on being a couple beginning to find their way together & putting most of the bickering behind them.

Sookie’s sudden leap to ‘infiltrating the FotS is bizarre too. They haven’t even attempted to find the suspected bug or leak, but she’s some how sure no one will know who she is & all these supposedly older & wiser vamps just acquiesce with no further efforts to ensure the plan?

I find myself wishing idiot Jason will accidentally stumble into revealing Eric’s name to Godric so that Godric can haul Jason’s ass out of there & back to his nest before Sookie heads off to the church. Her being caged in the basement & attacked is in so many stories & I truly hate it at this point. Part of that is the frequent (ad nauseam) inclusion & the other part is holdovers from my own unpleasant experiences, but I really, really hate going through it again.

Bummer about Eric’s haircut. The wig they had on Skarsgård at the start of TB was awful & I’m sure the ‘haircut’ storyline was more to get him out of having to where the wig under the lights permanently. However, the long, blond head of hair I see in my mind when picturing the SVM Eric is glorious & chopping it off would be a sin. Of course, the Eric I see in my mind is much more beautiful than Skarsgård even though he has his own attractions & is adorable (all 6’4” of him, lol).

I’m interested to see if this Maryanne/Callisto has a different reason for attacking Sookie than SVM or TB. The character seemed like a real wildcard to me in those.

Okay, I mostly find this Tara to be too nosy & too knee-jerk hostile, but for this response, I’m loving her spot on accuracies & brutal honesty: ““Your grandmother died less than a week ago, your brother's an insensitive asshole, your boss is an incompetent prick, and your dead boyfriend just left for God knows where and you don't know when he's coming back right?" Sookie nodded. "Yeah. Plus your best friend is kind of a bitch." Sookie gave a tiny smile and Tara thought Good girl. "So you don't need to be working, you need a padded cell."”

Um. But is Eric sure that Sookie is safe after this (well, until the next crisis, anyway)? The Sookie topic was strategically interrupted by Eric, but wasn’t exactly settled.

Why would the bottles of True Blood be stored in the freezer? That sounds like a crimson disaster of epic proportions! Refrigerator, I think, although CH is inconsistent about proper storage for synthetic blood in her books. Usually it’s said to be kept in a refrigerator, but in one of the books, Compton has it stored on a shelf in a closet (where the semi-concealed entrance to his underground sleeping spot/crawl space is).

Still one of the best stories I've read. so happy you've added new chapters. thank you. and I can't wait to read what happens next
