Wonderful fic and such a good idea! It makes total sense, character-wise, for Annie to share this with Auggie. He's her best friend and the only one she can share every part of herself and her crazy, secret life with, and he understands her better than anyone else, even Danielle, in some ways. OF COURSE, she'd need to process the Ben thing with him. Even though I absolutely adore reading romantic A/A fics, I really enjoy well-written friendship fics and tag/post-ep's that cover a point that the show didn't. Great job!

As much as I would love to see A & A fall into each others arms at the end of her explanation. I think you fic was much closer to the truth.

I LOVED this! Seriously, great idea for a missing scene! And it seemed very realistic as to how it would happen. I think you got Annie and Auggie's mannerisms and relationship down really well. :D

I heart your stories so much. Two things, though: 1) in the description, you put episode 1x8, you might wanna fix that for folks who worry about spoilers. 2) I don't think Annie was really all that tempted to go with Ben. Some, yea, but I think the episode was to show her (and us) Ben with none of the EXTRA cloak-and-dagger danger that made him such the IDEALIZED man. She got to see him for who he IS, not who her imagination made him to be. And he's just a man, not some magical mysterious lover anymore. And it's a lot easier to turn down a man than the idea of a man.

Anyhoo, not sure if that made sense, and I still love your Annie/Auggie stories, including this one. I'm just preoccupied by peoples mindsets, motivations, and emotions. Comes with my field. _ (And part of why I love fanfiction so much...)
