I felt it in my gut that Maura's plan was going to be to tease Jane towards a breaking point where she will make a move on Maura.

Jane, thinking she was being very discreet, let the cat out of the bag. Now Maura knows about Jane's feelings for her.

I wonder what plan Maura is going to come up with that will push Jane into thinking that she might have a way of winning Maura over.

The pace of your story that will lead to a relationship between Jane and Maura is perfect at this point. Rushing it would make it feel unnatural.
