So bittersweet at the end! It's ambiguous enough, I'm not sure whether Anakin actually survived or not, but I think he did. This was a really creative re-working of all the canon elements with your AU. I thought Luke's amnesia was shopworn, but it certainly allowed you to make his time with the Alliance as it happened in canon more believable than if he had remembered his previous life. Well-written, as are all your works. I enjoyed it.

This churned many emotions in me, I had actually cried once or twice during reading. I felt tense and anxious when Luke had audience with the Emperor then when he was shown torture, and a sense of great loss when Luke was unable to reunite with Vader to fulfill that future he saw with his son. Though for some reason I saw Luke getting slight amnesia as predictable, it was wonderfully written, I couldn't stop reading once I started. Why doesn't this have more reviews? Does the length turn people away as do short fics? One of the best SW stories I've read on this site, thank you for sharing.

Though the ending perplexed me a bit and in my mind one of two things happend:

Either Luke died with his father and they were in that spirit-form Kenobi and Yoda appear as when Anakin tells Luke to say his final goodbyes to the others;

Or they both lived (hence the "healing-Force" mentioned and the ability to touch one another), were burning the suit, and Anakin tells Luke to say goodbye because they were leaving together somewhere.

I choose the happier ending, just because I want the two to be together again in life so they can go off on another adventure as they did when they were younger.
