I have to say, this is the first time that I ever read your fic. I was truly impressed, and even though I do disagree with some points on Elena's personality (honestly, I just think she's a simple ditz, not stupid, but sometimes as quoted, "Elena, you talk too much". Yet, I know the girl means well, trying her best at her new job, and IS strong in her own right, and takes more dedication to her work than the other two partners we know perfectly well), the whole Sephiroth into the mix, and other stuff that will remnain unanmed because it doesn't matter (since the awesomness of the whole thing overshadows it anyway).

However, I do like the depth you have given Elena's character, and even though some parts are hard for me to picture in the canon game world, this is your fic, I like the way you have depicted her. I'm wondering what happens since everything is remisnicing, right? Obviously, it doesn't end well, and she speaks of Reno as if he's not there anymore, like something happened or he just went away.

I always thought Elena was more in love...well, not in love. Love is such a mysterious feeling, one that can blind and mislead you. You might think that what you're feeling is love, since you haven't experienced it, but it turns out to be infatuation, that tunes out what might be the real feeling of love that you never figure out until too late, or never do (Like a quote, "The obscure we see eventually. The complete obvious, it seems, takes longer"). Even Elena mentions that she never probably understood what love means. Elena fell "in love" with the man she believed Tseng to be, his status and way to project, not the actual man himself, while she let real love (Reno) go away. I always believed this as true in FFVII as well. There was always some admiration for Tseng and how he's different, etc. I'm just saying this as my perception of the story from what I gathered, losing true love when it was right under your nose.

I have to say, Elena's love for Tseng is quite...pathetic. Not the actual love, but the way she sees it ,"Tseng is a God", No one can ever reach him", "He's my lifeline.", "Why would Reno even try?" (though IMO, Reno is much better), etc. That sounds like obsession more than love to me. Honestly, I find Reno hotter, ESPECIALLY in FFVII: Advent Children, CGI gorgeousness, Reno was

Whoa. A two year awaited update. Anyway! I love the story! I thank the lord that you didn't make Elena out as a weak, ditzy blonde that other cliched stories seem to do, well not all the time at leats. A nice plot- and good pairings...

Upon one Rhianwen's high recommendations I decided to look at this story. In truth, I was looking for an Elena-Reno story, but I am enjoying the detailed portrait you are painting of Elena, and the buildup in suspense in this chapter seems promising.

I love the so-called "love triangle" that's going on in here. I love your Action!Kickass!Elena. I love Reno's plain little crush on her. I love the calm presence of Tseng.

I just overall love it. And I do hope you get to the end of the game one day. It'd be great to see this finished.
