Not even exaggerating, when I saw that this had updated I actually teared up! This is, without a doubt, my favorite piece of fanfiction ever and honestly means the world to me! Thank you so much for giving us new, beautiful content and I am eagerly awaiting the next update!

I cannot believe you have updated this, I thought I would never see any chapter of this jewel ever again and then here you are after years of longing. I have read this story more than ten times ever since I discovered the Lord of the Flies fandom almost four years ago and I have to say that this is my all-time favorite story of this fandom. The new chapter did not disappoint, I always love the spicy interactions between Jack and Ralph and I especially love the part where they acknowledge their belligerent slap-slap-kiss dynamic ("You never said that you liked me for being some ruddy pushover" lmao). And did Jack's father have something going on for Ralph's mom? Wouldn't surprise me.
I hope to see more of this in the future. Thank you.

I don't want to set my hopes too high, but whatever you decide to do next, I want you to know that I am forever grateful for this wild ride of a fic, I've been returning to it from time to time and it never lost any charm for me. And thank you for this chapter specifically, it was so warm and hopeful yet heartbreaking and kinda dreamy and everything we could wish for, indeed a brief escapade from all the messiness of everyday to where you can breathe freely, now I kinda dread the return to the reality, also really hope it'll happen, aaahh I'm already that invested but in no way want to put pressure on you
Oh and also thanks to you I've really advanced in my English, when I first started reading it in 2016 I had to look up every other word, but the writing kept me invested till the very end

Just as the majority of your readers i want to thank you for such an absorbing story about the ones, who conquered our hearts since the Lord of the Flies. As the majority - can't help cry about an unwritten continue. I appreciate your hard work for long years - this text is full of beautiful speeches(And for me - as for an English learner - this is a very pleasant experience). This was such a good fic, that i really felt alive with all these emotions during the reading. Now i feel like abandoned child, huh.. Good luck in your next writings!

I have read this story more times than I can count and would simply love if I could put it in a book to have a physical copy of this masterpiece! It is by far the most eloquent and beautifully written piece of fan work I’ve ever read (and I’ve read a considerable amount!) and I could read it for infinity and never grow bored. Your characterization is stunning, word choice impeccable and plot fascinating. Even though it hasn’t been updated in 6 years I always find myself hoping for an extra chapter each time I come back. I adore your story and hope you are doing well!

Oh dang! This is great! Absolutely love the characters, and I'm honestly dreading what will become of this whole thing now. And gah, why can't they just be happy!? But I guess that's what they're asking themselves, too.

Wow, just wow. Your descriptions always make me feel as though I'm at the scene watching the characters. The last few chapters really built the image of the confusing maze of passageways in the mansion. Especially in the school, the characters are always aware of their location!
Aside from the imagery, I really like how smoothly the point of view transitions! Usually multiple transitions within the same passage can be confusing, but you manage it well. Its great that the reader can tell the characters apart.
Additionally, the characterization of the characters is on point! I like how Ralph is obviously scarred from his time on the island, yet he still shows determination to uhh resist(? defy?) Jack. The constant callbacks to the time on the island really help emphasise this. Even Roger's musings about happiness and the darkness at the beginning of Chapter 7(?) helped to build onto his character. While we all have our headcanons and interpretations of the boys, I like what you've done with Roger here.
Lastly, what I find most impressive is how you've written OCs lack deoth in comparison to the canon characters. However, Irene doesn't feel lacking in any sense compared to the others, so its cool! Most importantly , THANK YOU for this wonderful fic. Its certainly got me hooked. I'm excited to see how this story will develop and hope to see more
