Wow, you are great at writing like this. In a way, I feel like Tolkien wrote this fanfiction. I think I would find it much harder to get the dialogue and the overall manner of description that's used in books like LOTR correct. I'd probably have to read the book over and over to get s nice feel of it. This is great. You did a really great job on this I can tell you worked hard.

That...you...i- ...wow. I think I've cried till my tear ducks have swollen, so no more liquid can come make show of what this dam story did to me. It was beautiful and moving and...and the ending...I desperately wanted them to make it and magically he'd be saved...but even as I read I new you would not have it so. Why!? Why couldn't you make it less realistic and give a fairy tell, every-girl-dreams-of ending? I almost hate you...not really...despite the ugly fact your tale made my heart hurt (still does, but its a more sufferable echoing ache now) I find I wouldn't have been satisfied had you ended it differently. Ugh...still I can wish for and imagine my own ending, yeah? Seriously, though, It's authors like you that make me crave fanfiction like a weakness and at the same time wish I'd never heard of it. You could (and this is so totally not sucking up) write your own original story and do well off it...It's your writing..it has that suck you in and never let go quality that gets readers adrenalin spiking. I'd read it.

This was a wonderful story, the last two chapters were the hardest to read and i also wept in the last chaptr. i wish Gimli had not died! i wish they could have both ived on together in the hevens of Valinor! it was so painfull to read that he died just before they arived! please change ending so he lives please!

I know it's a while ago that you wrote this, but maybe you are still around and like to know that people are still reading your stories.

I don't know how to put it into words, but you really wrote one of the most moving (without being tritely sentimental) things I've ever read. The mood was exactly like in the books.

The ending made me cry, but I still love it, knowing that a happy ending just wouldn't have done.

I read somewhere that this story was one of the best fanfics detailing Legolas and Gimli. I was skeptical at first - as I usually am when someone claims a story is the best thing in the world. The review I read also said I would cry. I did. This is an amazing story. I plan to read it over and over. I love the way you got the Tolkien feel to the writing with your choice of words. I'll never look at ravens the same way. The last scene is just so powerful. A quote from a song seemed rather appropriate for this story. "Is forever enough? 'Cause I'm never, never giving you up..." Great writing job.

You should have your friends convince you to write slash more often. The result is delicious.
