Hermione taught us all something very important, we can find friends that we get along with best and our mojo in life, even when the world seems to not be getting along with us.

Hermione had (head-canon) issues in the muggle world, and then clearly did not resonate with the other girls in her house (Parvati) or other houses for that matter. She was embraced as a more mature friend by Harry and Ron, kept them in check and found herself to be on equal footing with her seniors such as Percy, Bill, members of the Order. She was ahead of her age and time, and she only stood her ground more as she grew older, refusing to conform and never hesitated in speaking her mind. Some may say she lacked tact, but diplomacy wasn't going to get you very far in the war against Voldemort. Take the house-elf libera..er SPEW, or her standing up to Harry with his saving-people-thing, or her reporting the firebolt.

Great story, I like the insights into Hermione's parents as well. She has such amazing qualities, it's good to see more of the characters who would have influenced her to be the character we love.

(Unless I've not got to it yet) It would be great to see what you would write about Hermione finding her parents and returning their memory.

A really sweet oneshot! You can imagine now how wonderful it would have been for Hermione to get that letter to Hogwarts. All English is correct, from what I can see. Hermione's wish came true :)

This was adorable and sweet and kind of heartbreaking. There's just one thing, Hermione was born in 1979, so this would be her tenth birthday. ;)
