Interesting idea but the only thing spike should be paired w/ is a Sunrise. He was a great villain until they neutered him and turned the show into a soap opera than he was pathetic. Just like the last 3 seasons.

i love how xander is able to understand dru at this point. and wow, he really just admitted to accepting the claim in front of everyone! given that its been 7 years i know its unlikely there will ever be an update, but i did really enjoy reading this, so thank you for writing it!

Such an excellent story! :D I really like the friendship/developing relationship between Spike and Xander. I'm especially fond of Xander's internal monologue. Hope you return and continue this sometime as I'd really love to read about the response to Xander saying that he accepts the claim. :)
