You outdid yourself with that toast!
I loved the mix of toughness and sweetness.
The relationship between Matt and Coach is so sweet - so tough - so loving...you had it all in that speech!

Things I enjoyed when reading this chapter:
- Eric's nervousness over the speech
- Eric teasing Tami about having to be loose
- Tami recognizing a possible mid-life crisis

The description of the different laughs genius!
Matt's speech at the bar was so brave. I can feel his intimidation but appreciated the fact that you wrote his words to come out of his mouth. And the satisfaction of watching Eric's shock really was priceless.

I loved how you have Eric visualize Matt - a threat, a good choice and a son. Very clever paragraph.
I also liked how Eric recognizes that Tami plays the "calm to his storm". It is so very them! Like in "Always" when she gets just as mad as he does about Julie getting engaged to Matt and she yells "I don't know why you're yellin' at me. I think we agree on this."
I like the mention of Gracie's conception, something that was never brought up on the show between Tami and Eric. I found that odd since Tami made such a big deal to her daughter about safe sex and Julie and Eric never made mention of it to her.
I think my favorite part is Eric's reaction. His worry for them financially. His worry about being a grandparent. His comment to Tami about her being too sexy to be a grandmother.

I just started this story and figured I would review chapter by chapter.
I like the build up here. It worries me, but you keep me on the edge of my seat.
I love how Tami can admit difficulty in adjusting too. In the show, it seemed like everything was seemingly perfect in Philadelphia, and I understand the writer's need to end it that way, but I would suspect differently.

I totally love this story, especially the part where Matt stands up to Coach. :)

Although I can't believe Tim Riggins would use the word "nuptials" (unless he was dating a Jane Austen fan, and maybe not even then), this story came across as both convincing and entertaining. Will have to check out the sequel.

Loved it. Although now I think maybe I did read it awhile ago. LOL. I just didn't review, or don't remember...or got a summary...or, you know, off conversation stuff. A lot of the same stuff keeps coming up. Not a criticism - same for me, and I've had so many convos now about FNL I can't keep straight who said/wrote/what. Sometimes I write stuff and think - have I read that somewhere already? LOL.

I like that Coach is surly about the traffic and other things. I could see him taking awhile to adjust. How did I miss this story? Must have been before my addiction and discovery of all this.
