This story has touched me profoundly, and it is a considerably better ending to "Deathly Hallows" than that pesky and nauseating Epilogue. I will put it at the end of Book 7 on my ebookreader as well as a printed copy in my hardcover book. Thank you for sharing this.

This was very touching! I personally love the character of Snape. I hated him until the seventh book, naturally. However, after learning of his story and all he sacrificed, I grew to respect and care about him a lot. I think this exchange you have written between he and Harry was wonderful. It was full of emotions, both sad and uplifting...It was truly a good read. Thank you for sharing it with us fanfictioners! :D

Thank you so much for writing this. Although I doubt Harry and Snape would ever speak so candidly, even as portrait and student, it certainly helps heal my Potter fan heart. The epilogue in book 7 was just too abrupt for me...and it was nice to find some closure in this one-shot.
