I haven't read anything YGO in a while but this brought back everything meaningful about the show and Yuugi/ Yami's partnership in just a few hundred words. Very good job creating such emotion in such a small scene. My favorite part was the image of Yami brooding, but his expression tendering when he saw Yuugi sleeping in peace. That simple act right there tells a lot about their partnership. :) |

This is exactly how Yami would have been feeling, the self-reproach, the backwardness of Yugi protecting him (although Yugi in the end will be the one to save him just as he saves Yugi). And this line, "Yuugi's hands weren't built for fists." Another brilliant Scrib line that just sings. Well done. |
