Excellent excellent excellent! I'm happy about the sequel that I get to read now, because I'm not ready to leave your little universe just yet! There was a lot of wish fulfillment in here, the little moments of jisbon, but ready wonderful pacing and character development. Sad about Tommy in this instance, but it did make very real consequences and reason to keeping going. Love the details. Love the epilogue chapter, great not ending :) Going right into the sequel :) Thank you for the great read!

I have recently watched the entirety of the mentalist on Amazon prime. When it first aired, I was an avid fan, but stopped watching around S4. Finally catching up to the end now, I wasn't at all impressed with the way that the writers took the plot and characters at all. I mean come on- the FBI business in S6 was a joke, and I won't even go into what they did to the character of poor Lisbon. She deserved much better.
So having found this absolute treasure of a story was a balm to my soul. I can't thank you enough. Your writing is delicious, your characterisation was spot on, and the dialogue was golden. A much better 'season' than The Mentalist S5, 6 and 7 combined.
For me, this will be cannon. Bruno Hellier could have used you in the writing room. Lord knows we all would have been better off. Sending good vibes and grattitude

If this is after the S3 finale it's been 8 years not 7. The flashback in the pilot said "5 years ago" 3 seasons/years8. ~7 working for CBI with Lisbon and team per Red Dawn but 8 since his family died.

Thank you for this great fanfiction, I particulary liked the way you handled the threat of Ellie all the way with the creepy dollhouses and how our CBI favorite team investigated to catch her, this story was not solely a really good Jisbon fic but a good "Mentalist" one; what an emotionnal rollercoaster though...!
