Holy crap, this story is /amazing/. I've never delved into the realm of FF13 fanfic before this, so I have to say this was a beautiful and powerful introduction. I just. Wow. Hahah. I really can't think of anything else to say.

Second person is never easy to work with, and while it feels a little awkward at points within the story, it still really works with the general feeling of it. On top of that, Hope's characterization is beautiful and spot-on, moving from that still bitter, childish but growing maturity, to the adult he becomes, and it's just-ugh, so amazing and bittersweet.

I just really love everything in this! The interactions and the dialogues and the relationships, how they're quietly expanded, and-yeah. I just. I don't even know what to say! I'm speechless in the wake of reading. I'd just like you to know this got a couple tears out of me, too. (: Absolutely gorgeous work, and thank you so much for writing!

This is WONDERFUL. Beautiful introspection, and I loved how you showed Hope's relationship with each member of his "family." Your voice is fantastic and you did a great job not only with the story, but with writing it from second person point of view.

This is a wonderfully introspective bit. Also, a little depressing since it's so true. No one from Cocoon would just let them be part of the town. They'd blame them and force them away and eek out a living cursing them. :/

How remarkable. What an excellent, realistic take on the post-game world. How I wish someone at Square would use something like this as the model for the XIII-2. Anyway, characterization is lovely and you show the aging process in a compelling, subtle way. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
