sherryfanfic1999 chapter 42 . 5/6 Awesome adventure. Jim was a little on the 'lockdown crazy' side, alot, but Spock felt something could always be behind it. Good Old Bones never one to let us down. He has ALWAYS been more than a 'doctor' when I came to those two! Love it! I was surprised about Jim's mother though. Not sure why, but I just didn't like her. Thanks for sharing your fic. |
Miko Eiko chapter 42 . 4/10 Aww me encantó, reí, sufrí, lloré. Ha resultado ser una experiencia satisfactoria el leer esta historia ciertamente maravillosa y atípica de esta pareja tan célebre y su tripulación. |
KatieLyn chapter 42 . 8/1/2019 Excellent. I’m also going to tell myself Sarek and Winona end up planning their own wedding in the process. |
KatieLyn chapter 38 . 8/1/2019 Hah, Fitzpatrick sounds like me in my earlier comments, lol! |
KatieLyn chapter 37 . 8/1/2019 The story has taken an intense turn and quality is kicked up into high gear. You indeed do not waste a thing. It’s coming together amazingly. |
KatieLyn chapter 32 . 7/31/2019 It was hard to see Jim say such a sharp hurtful rude comment to Selek/Spock as he did. Poor Selek didn’t mean anything by his remarks. He’s in a sad place in life without his own Jim and friends from his own life. This part was beautifully written. The awkwardness of it all was tangible because it was so skillfully described. I find myself just not liking Jim all that much sometimes. It’s like two steps forward, one step back in terms of my ability to warm up to him. I understand the hurt/comfort genre, but sometimes a lot of the characterization is sacrificed for the sake of promoting it, due to the vulnerability that has to be brought out in the hurt character. On the other hand, this Jim is only 25 and already a star ship captain of some renown. That’s pretty damned impressive but bound to come with some baggage. |
KatieLyn chapter 29 . 7/31/2019 Lol, Chekov is a treasure. He’s written very well. |
KatieLyn chapter 22 . 7/29/2019 Spock! Prince of Burns! He was very unprofessional but super awesome there. I read this story years ago but it’s so much fun reading again and living their cacaphony of emotional compromises all over again. |
KatieLyn chapter 21 . 7/28/2019 I can't stand Uhura. Shut up and do your job and stop questioning Scotty. Ergh. I really hate the overly personal lack of professionalism of all of these people. They gossip to no end and divulge information (Scotty) they are ordered to keep quiet. I can barely bring myself to finish this chapter after that scene with Miss Know it All Uhura. However, she is pretty much in character here, as she was in the first movie. I actually like her better in this story than I do in the first two movies. This story is very good. The fact I'm aggravated shows how drawn in I am. |
KatieLyn chapter 14 . 7/27/2019 I actually like the frosty professionalism of the alpha crew. I never sought friendships with coworkers, just a very cordial, warm professional environment and friendly business lunch relationships that stayed at the workplace. This is unfortunately anything but warm, but I like the professionalism. Jim and Spock throwing tantrums at each other was extremely unbecoming and unprofessional. |
KatieLyn chapter 14 . 7/27/2019 This is the most dysfunctional toxic work environment I have ever seen. It’s a wonder the entire crew doesn’t transfer out. Jim and Spock are an absolute mess. Pretty much like they were in the first movie, but a few degrees worse. Jim is in my opinion not fit to command just yet. From cadet to Captain l. Well he is brilliant, but he needs to unload some baggage. Spock should be on New Vulcan or transfer out. If he had any logic, that is what he’d do. But then this would be a very short story, lol. I’ve read this story years ago and loved it so I am glad these guys continue to provide us with dysfunctional entertainment. However, if it were real life, I would not want to serve on this ship under either of them, least of all both of them together. |
Silvanesti chapter 1 . 7/15/2018 I decided to check if my favourite writers have written anything new, unfortunately none of you have, but I seem to remember that this story is really, really good so I'll just reread it instead. Summer morning, a cup of tea, a purring cat in my knee and some well-written Kirk/Spock feelings. Life is good. Thank you. |
XxLady.GreyWolfxX chapter 42 . 6/9/2016 One word: Sequel ! :D |
Silvanesti chapter 42 . 2/12/2016 I am quite surprised that this story hasn't received more reviews and favourites. It certainly deserves more praise and acknowledgement. The story is very well written, a few misspellings have slipped through, but all in all the writing style is beautiful. The plot is excellent and is given the time it needs to develop fully. Nothing feels rushed, yet there is not a dull moment. The characterisation is great. Thank you for sharing this story with us. I'll most certainly have a look at what more you have written. |
SpirkFan101 chapter 39 . 12/22/2015 I am amazed at the thought you put into this. I mean, I thought there were plot holes in the gossip going around the ship, and how that would've weakened the ship's morale - but, then, BAM, you solve it with bones telling Kirk that those weren't the correct rumors at all. And the spy that was attempting to sabotage Kirk! Genius! |
