Just finished this story and I loved it! I found myself tearing up at various points in the story. I wish there was a sequel to it. I would love for Tim to find closure. All told an excellent story; keep up the great work. May your inspiration well never run dry.

I absolutely loved this story. Last chapter almost made me cry, but not really of sadness. Please, this might sound weird, but do not make a sequel if that thought entered your mind. You can't touch how good this story is into a sequel. The time reading was well spent.

What an interesting idea, and even more interesting that you managed to make two very different stories (this and On My Journey Home) based on this idea of Tim having selkie blood / being a selkie! I personally believe I prefer this one, since it's more firmly based in the NCIS world (which seems stranger now that I say that, since this is the one with much more of a fantasy element to it, with Andrew Tait and the selkies powers and all), and so much more drama with Tim having to basically give up his kids and everything! Shame on me, but I'm happy with the ending where he gives up on Eira and is willing to finally move on (and the girl seems a good match too!). Overall, another wonderfully written story, thank you very much, and looking forward to reading much more from you!

You can't win with me, can you? I never liked Eira, but here I am, sniping because McGee's letting go of her.

I like that he got to meet his children and that they know of him. I hadn't thought that they might experience pain like McGee did, and his question was a really good one.

I love that Andrew Tait got married! Sigur's death was sad, but Tim's going over for the funeral seemed like the right thing to do.

What a story! You put me through the emotional ringer with this one! Another excellent feather in your cap.

Da da DA! Way to end the chapter on a cliffhanger.

This was a nice breather after the last chapter, which was... difficult to read. I can't imagine how emotionally draining it was to write. This one, though, felt like healing. I like that Tim now has one eye of each color and that Gibbs went and checked McGee's genealogy.

"I've never felt more at sea than I did trying to treat you, Agent McGee." That made me smile.

You just had to go and make me... not dislike her, didn't you?

liked that tim was able to see his children and that he met a new gal.

I loved this story. I've always loved the selkie legend, and this fic was very "about it". An incredible amount of detail and thought obviously went into it, and you can feel it all the way through. I loved the way the selkies were characterized, very clearly different so that you wouldn't mistake them for human at all. mean, it was beautiful and sad, and the ending was bittersweet just like a selkie story should be.
