The series makes it quite clear that they are friends; not lovers.
In the first three series; you can see the friendship shine brightly, not just
JANE and MAURA but ANGIE and SASHA as well.
Something happened between the two women. In the final two series, the spark
had gone, JANE went through the pain of ALICE SANDS by her self and KENT helps
MAURA through her trauma, not JANE. The last party in the Dirty Robber shows the gap * It really is terribly sad. *
between the two. SASHA is nearest the camera; she turns her head, but ANGIE
looks down at the ground. They may as well have been a million miles apart. SASHA gives an interview where the female presenter says that she and ANGIE
are the best of friends. SASHA neither confirms or denies the statement
What if...? MAURA meets IAN or JACK; JANE meets DEAN or CASEY again?
