This is an amazing little story. I think it would have been great on the BBC.

This is quite possibly the most in-character, and in-story, plot I have ever had the pleasure to read on FF. And I mean this quite seriously, as I have read a good deal of fiction and do not dole out congratulations very often, and thus when I do, it is with great prejudice. ;)

The thing that makes this story so uniquely special, I think, is that it actually feels like Doctor Who. There are a great many fan-fictions that are great stories, but they do not always capture the essence of the show. This story - this story has something different. Every line (very nearly) is exactly the sort of thing the characters would have said in the show, especially on the Doctor's part. The plot was also very Whoish (something very serious happening as a consequence of something very trivial), which made me smile.

The only thing I found a tad bit off was when Rory went to get the step-ladder, as I couldn't quite picture that happening on the show. Perhaps that is merely a failure of imagination on my part, but anyway I thought it might be worth pointing out.

So, yeah. This is really quite a brilliant work you've put out, and the humor especially is wonderful. Top marks all around, and it really is a pity you couldn't have entered that contest!

Haha, I love it! "What has the silly Roman done to you?" is my favorite line. I just love when the Doctor refers to Rory as the Roman. And I love the too-long title. And that Rory was playing with his wedding ring, stupid boy :) Fun, little fic. Wish you could have entered the contest.

It's a shame you don't qualify for that contest because I'd pay to see this. I can just see Rory's face.

Characterization was dead on, especially the Doctor, which I'd imagine would be the hardest to do so good on you.

It was quite awesome, good one shot legnth. Nice job!

"Yes, I know dear. I'm working on it." That line made me laugh so hard! Oh this is lovely, thank you so much for the beautiful story. I can see Matt and Arthur having a lot of fun performing this scene. It's too bad the contest is for the little munchkins. :/ Oh well. Great job!
